No, having a dual edge on this knife wouldn't make sense, since the dull side is exposed when folded. You can definitely sharpen the dull side, but you will be risking cutting yourself all the time.

You shouldn't even cut paper with a self defense knife , but that's a knife that is good for many task and it very lite weight for EDCing.

Cold Steel should've skeletonized the liners on these that would've shaved off 1 or 1.5 ounces of weight.

I've considered doing it to mine but in all fairness it is so light as it is. Would make a bigger difference on the 6 inch version.

@@Jamesnebula yeah there are better self defense weapons, no doubt. But having a knife as a last resort is better than being dead. And its easier to carry around than lets say a baton :)

@@jjhau2474 I think a water bottle filled with shit, or rotting meat juice would be best. Something with a squirt spout. Violence most often starts with harassment. Squrting foul liquid put off someone and if they used it on you would be harmless.
