Hi John do you think the choice of the USAF to change the b52 to mostly conventional arms is a good thing. Would having an f-15 or f-16 alongside a b52 offset the dangers of air to air missiles? Do you think the b2 is a superior choice ?

@@M856BushBurner When the Cold War ended in 1991, the Air Force entered into the START II with Russia. That resulted in a limited number of nuclear delivery aircraft allowed under the treaty. The Air Force decided to destroy all of the B-52G models, and designate all the newer B-1 Bombers to a "Conventional" role only. This left the remaining B-52H and B-2 Bombers for the nuclear carrier role.
