i fucking LOVE his voice. it's so special, it's not a man's nor a woman's voice, it's super unique. and amazing how similar it sounds live to what's recorded, most artists don't come of so good live

The emotion (wherever the inspiration came from, i.e. alcoholism, abandonment, forgiveness, temptation , or commitment) this song is saturated in emotion, first time hearing the acoustic version... Great two shot vid, with flash cameras... Hearing it as a acoustic performance , it illustrates and intensifies the emotion behind the lyrics. Another performance, slayed.

That is genuine, any artist that can pull off acoustic and keep the same vocals as in a album to be as close to perfect pitch as possible with out help from a studio is genuine in my eyes... Just stumble upon this group think they r awesome.

Unlike most people, I discovered these guys after listening to the band Delta Spirit. Most people hear them the other way around. At any rate, both the bands are awesome, go listen to Delta Spirit's people c'mon, or Trashcan, if you have never heard them before.

I imagine if John Lennon were alive today he would call this the best song ever written. That's speculation, obviously, but I still don't believe this arranagement, or band, has had their day. This isn't even a song I listen to often. I can't name this dude's name. Never been to a CWK show. But, this arrangement is master level soul and musicianship.

What the song is about is obvious, the acoustic version is just amazing, better in my opinion, if you dont get it, then you dont deserve to and I wont bother selling it to you. You get it or you dont.

Excellent song on many levels! Musically it's constructed beautifully. Lyrically, it's cagey..a man in self-denial about his self-destruction from his alcoholism.; always compromising with himself..negotiating. This man has a good voice. Not a big fan of this band but this song made me notice this link. Check out the official video with drums and all that lol. The video is weird though..it's all out of sync in the beginning. And I believe this was on purpose. As the song goes on, the instruments in the video get synched..as if the protagonist is understanding? Too deep? Check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqPJdammm6hlmNk

@ Blakerwalk... FYI : Alot of songs deliberately change tempo when the hook comes in. It's pretty standard stuff when it comes to building a song.. Just sayin...
