Aug 23, '83 .... hmmm I was in Georgia reclassifying from field radioman to a nice safe behind the lines job as a Heavy Sattelite Ground Station Repairman... little did I know that in just 2 1/2 years I would be 120 miles behind enemy lines in Berlin Germany.

Foxtrots were quiet subs for that time. LMAO Same issue on mission i knew you had cursed yourself when you said gonna get away untouched then Bamm. I have same results when i think similar things in a game then it comes back to bite me back lol. Fun fact: you can stay below PD and repair masts but if you go faster than 10 or 15 kts it will continue to break and at about 100ft pressure will damage it. But otherwise everything should be alright

At the end I think you could survive that torpedo. If you go full speed at 10 knots you are not that loud and can use noisemaker. And 10 knots still enough to evade a topedo.

Do you have any plans to try out the DotMod 84 Royal Navy campaign? It has good subs like the Valiant, Churchill and Trafalgar, but terrible torpedoes (Tigerfish and Mark 8). I think it would suit your playstyle well.

To form a knuckle you have to be going at a certain speed and shift the rudder from one end of the boat to the other.

The Video was cool, but I think the AI is way too harmless. It looks like the AI is incapable of dodging or detecting, making the one hit a real surprise.

Oh, the AI detected him early on. That's why the oiler starting running away and the Knox charged in. The wake homing torpedoes are almost impossible for a surface ship to dodge and they can't be thrown off by decoys. And the anti-sub torpedo is very good too, the Kobben didn't have much chance. The Foxtrot might be a slow and clunky old boat, but it has awesome torpedoes.

@@timonsolus Yes, they detected him at first, but only one torp got even close. After this, the Perry got completly fooled by the decoy and the helicopter was dipping somewhere far away. Therefore, dodging the incomming torpedoes was a childsplay. Even after surfacing the first time, the heli couldn't pinpoint him. In reality, the moment the Perry detected w345, the heli would have stayed above him all the time, making him the target of both enemy ships. He would have had a hard time, dodging all the enemy torps. And how many torps did the Kobben launch at him, one? Another easy dodge.

@@grek6667 : Fair points. I also think using the external view camera to dodge torpedoes by watching them come in is basically cheating in this game. As is using the external torpedo camera to guide in wire guided torpedoes.
