In February i had a couple of days, where i was commuting at around 0°C degrees and i observed that my hands and my chin always got cold first. So i bought myself a balaclava (30€) and some winter-gloves (70€), which really helped a lot. Since i am not riding very fast (big part of my route is in the city), there is always some heat coming up from the engine, which seems to help a lot with the torso. I recommend wearing some underpants though 🙂

Absolutely I agree…layers help! I also ride with fleece lined hiking pants under my riding suit a lot of the time. Thanks for the reminder!

Good video. I’m curious how packable your heated vest is. What can it pack down to when there is limited space on the motorcycle?

With the battery pack still in the inside pocket, it will just fit into a one gallon freezer bag with nothing hanging out but is too big to close…That said, it should fit nicely into a 2 gallon ziplock freezer bag….obviously from there you could squeeze it down to 1.5 gallons or less (5 or 6 liters). Store the battery elsewhere and the vest (size L) can be squeezed in the 1 gal bag. (Battery is as wide as the average cell phone, 3/4 as long and twice as thick) Hope that helps!
