I made the change to heated gear and believe in it , gloves , jacket liner , pants and heated grips also , this reminds me of the time necessary to dress for cold rides

I moved from Illinois to Ft. Lauderdale for the FREE snow removal. I remember those cold, winter days and don’t miss them

Thanks we rode year round, not frequently in the winter. I try not to ride if the road conditions aren’t dry…

I ride with Warm & Safe heated gloves and vest whenever it's in the 30's. If in the 20's or lower I add heated pants. They connect to a lead with fuse off the battery and keep me toasty warm at highway speeds. I'm definitely going to look into the Axial products based on your video.

I wear thermal pants, as well as my HD rain gear pants to help block the wind, if the temps are 30 and below i wear glove liners with the winter HD gloves, and then I wear my wind resistant work jacket under my riding jacket. then i top it off wearing a HD fleece hood under the helmet. I don't have heated gloves nor grips. I did put a set of hand guards which has helped a tiny bit. I will say I don't get much options though for the nights when I work riding hence why I don't really wear much being its a pain taking a lot of it off just to get into the plant. I do though like the windproof stuff and going to look into those for sure to add. I know that's why I wear my rain gear pants is because they block the wind so if I was able to get the windproof pants and place them over the thermal pants then my legs should be really warm even with just wearing jeans or my uniform pants. Great video and hope to see you out sometime this year.

My Wife got me a pair of heated gloves for Christmas this year. She got them from Amazon and they are RoyalRose. They come with lithium batteries. I charged them up and set them on medium (they have 3 settings). I got a good 6 hours out of them and they still weren't dead. She had talked to someone who recommended getting a size smaller then what I normally would wear. This was to allow them to stretch a little. They were tight at first but after working the controls by the end of the day they fit great and kept my fingers warm (poor circulation in the tips"old age is a bitch" ). Just a suggestion some may not like them, but I love them for now. Happy New Year and keep up the good work. Peace.

What are your thoughts on heated gloves vs heated grips? Happy New Year!!

I have both, heated grips are nice if it cool out but when temps hit below 50 I could not feel the heated grips at all. I wouldn’t do heated grips again, I use them if sun goes down and it cools off with lighter gloves but they didn’t work for in actual COLD weather

Definitely prefer heated glove liners to heated gloves. Gives you flexibility with the outer glove, and it gives you the ability to take a couple of outer gloves with you if it is wet and you want to swap to dry outers.

I decided to cut the riding below 40°, and that is a little too cold. I will be 72 this year. I rode occasionally above 32° but not any more. I hate riding and feeling like the Michelin tire man. As I get older, I think I will pop the limit at 50°. I have all the cold weather gear but I say f... it now under 50°😮

Hey Man Mountain Mike, I noticed you didn’t mention anything about the frosty balls staying warm. More power to y’all riding in freezing temperatures. I’m in Texas and more concerned about staying cool on all the 100+ days. You are a braver soul than I Mike. Y’all stay safe out there. Peace out. I’m out for now.

I froze my butt off. Heated grips and thick leather Harley gloves not enough. Like you, my hands were the coldest. I have no hand guards. Regular jeans with thermal underwear. Regular socks and Wolverine boots. Feet were fine. Top of thighs pretty cold. I don’t normally ride if the temps are below my age, but I was tasked with putting the ride together, so that meant I had to show up.

@@RidingintheOzarks only about 10. Had 35 last year, but it was 60 degrees last year. My local wanted me to put the ride together, but none of them showed up except for two of my CMA buddies who are also Local members.
