Varuste leka is pronounced ver-es ta laika. Like 'where's the liquor?' in your best heavy east European accent haha! And you are correct- Ray-she-ow. 'Ow' as in bow, the stickflinging kind.😂 Subbed and binging🤘

@procaliberhq I got a desert vest off them a while back and there's a video on the site showing how to say it, I guess they get a lot of queries lol. I'll do Finnish and Icelandic last I think, but Norwegian would be useful for me as I want to escape there one day 😁

That camo pattern is freaking sweet. It blends in so good. If you were 20 feet back in those trees you’d be almost invisible.
@procaliberhqАй бұрын
For sure. I tested that with the tarp a few camps back and it works wonders even amongst brown fall backgrounds

Awesome gear! That knife is a beast and looks very sharp. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again you have the best gear on KZbin

I was immediately impressed with your trousers/jacket. Jumped over to their website. With tax and shipping that’s an almost $800 combo. Whew! Heavy. That company had some other trousers &bibs that looked good for much less money but they’re all out of stock. Thanks for the video 👍🏼

Great video and what a nice setup. Just goes to show that if you have the right gear (and know how to use it), you can have an enjoyable camp in miserable weather. I admire your ability to sleep in a bivy that looks to be 1/4 to 1/2 zip. Especially with the hood fully enclosed. I’m spoiled with my MSS bivy. Love the hands free full unzip-ability of those. Especially when you gotta go!
@procaliberhqАй бұрын
Ill take a cold wet camp over a hot humid camp any day haha. And I def prefer the military bivy style zipper. Its been months since I got this bivy out but wanted to see how that one pad would function inside of it. I don't really like using this bivy with sleeping bags cause it can be a bit hard to get out especially if you toss and turn and get your zipper underneath you. I mainly plan on just using this bivy in the open fashion to protect a sleeping bag if using a tent in heavy rain or bad weather.
@HuntCreekBushcraftАй бұрын
Looks like that pad was a perfect fit.👍

At 32 minutes my claustrophobia went through the roof! Nope, just couldn't do it! LOL!!!
@procaliberhq29 күн бұрын
Yeah this bivy can definitely feel like that if you're in a sleeping bag. With the insulated jacket and pants its not as bad. But fully understand the claustrophobia response haha

I was wondering about that Brooklyn stuff. I've heard good and bad lol, but if it's as good as legit surplus that'd be awesome. Those surplus fleece jackets and such work really well, it would be nice to have another source than just surplus.
@procaliberhqАй бұрын
Only long term testing will show how durable it really is but it feels and looks the same. I think its going to hold up great

At $6k in gear, tools, packs, outerwear, firearm, I sincerely recommend adding some camp/perimeter security. At minimum a kevlar trip and some 12g primer bangers

Let's be honest. The luxury market isn't that expensive if you produce it at cost and take off the logo. The luxury logo is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact is that you're buying the image, showing off your taste, and making them think you have more money than you actually do, which is a very good thing. so kislux .

BAF is made in china I believe and I don’t think is actually issued to the military - they have been caught using fake NSN numbers and milticam products in the past and I believe are in lawsuits with military contractors like Massif. They do have an exact copy of the Litefighter tent as well for like $100, actually kinda interested in that lol
@procaliberhqАй бұрын
hhmm not really sure. Just going off the feel, I couldn't tell a difference between the jacket material and the surplus level 7 pants so if they are made in china the quality control seems on point haha. And I did see the tent. Might have to checkout and review it in the future and see how it compares to the surplus one i've got and used a few times.
@yaboyqmaga1125Ай бұрын
@ I have their ponchos and they’re actually not bad, but they even state they’re made in China on the tag and then claimed it was military surplus made by the blind on the website (this was years back no idea what they state now).
