I am in Red River Valley area in MN. Last year was bad!!! We had -40 with wind guest making it almost -60. 5/6ft. drifts of snow at the end of our driveway. School bus called me and said they would not be going down our road and I had to meet them at the highway. Crazy year! The only nice thing about really cold nights, it is so quiet and peaceful out. Prayers to your friend Amber, sorry she has to go through this. God bless that little boy.

I've had people tell me "it's just too hot, how do you even go outside" when it was 94 in Texas, I grinned and just said I'm used to it, but it's the same for MN or ND when it's that cold. We don't have to deal with it much at all, so our plants/animals/etc are not ready for it, our roads aren't, we don't have chains or snow tires, so it just hits us far harder.

This woman is in Vermont and are currently in an Arctic weather warning because temperatures are currently dropping below zero. I’m used to it in January.🤷🏻♀️ Now here’s the crazy part, we are moving to Texas and I am not going to lie, I am struggling with this HUGE change. I love y’all and I am married to a southern man from Tennessee, but I am from New England and I love my seasons and mountains and snow. I don’t like rattlesnakes and lethal spiders and how hot it gets. I am a married mom of four adult kids and three are moving with us and I’m scared of something happening to them. My anxiety is off the charts with leaving our tiny town to a big city suburb. I wish I could find someway to make my fears subside but I just can’t. Please pray for me and tell me something positive about the state of Texas? God Bless Y’all! Granger you loving that cold air just warmed my heart. Maverick is truly the cutest kid ever! Amber you are a wonderful mom! Enough of my complaining! Stay warm y’all! I watched a video of ice coming your way!

Went through the same with my Gbaby. She received a heart at 4 months old. You have to leave it in gods hands. Sometimes god needs a specific angel with him. God has a plan and im very grateful that a family gave my Gbaby life all while grieving the loss of their own. God bless the family’s on both sides of these situations
@bowed305 Жыл бұрын
I appreciate you reminding us all that God has a plan. We tend to think too many things are in our hands, but as you said, we have to remember that He works things in His way on His timetable. This child receiving a heart isn't the cause of the loss of another child. It's the blessing that comes from this dark moment that would have happened anyway.

-21 degrees for me. I grew up in Kansas. When the temperature dropped below zero we would have to plug in our vehicles so they would start the next morning. Our powerlines would get so much ice built up that the lines would snap and we would be without power. It was not a lot of fun. That is why I live in Texas now. I love the organ donor option too. There is such a need. I pray for this family and what a blessing to have you there to walk through this with them. Loved little Maverick's haircut, He is looks so grown-up now. Granger, you looked cold!!!! Glad you made it back to Texas. :)

-30F air temp, probably -50ish with wind-chill. How I decide it's cold out. My DEF freezes, fuel gels, propane freezes, air lines shatter, my body weight doesn't move the landing gear handles. Basically when the cold makes working, a chore. "Anything below 0" is also a good measure.

What I love about this video is the one little oak tree that survived. It’s such a strong testimony that all the other acorns did not make it. Remember it takes one person to share their testimony about Jesus to make an impact in somebody’s life. If you have faith in Jesus Christ we are like that one Oak tree making an impact because Jesus lives inside of us. Granger I think you need to make a song about this.

I experienced a -50 actual temp in N. Dakota in the early 80's when my husband was stationed in Minot. We were at Minot AFB and the wind chill was -80. Brutal. I lived in an end unit 4 plex. The outside wall was freezing on the inside. Ice crystals were in my living room. Formed from the moisture in our breath. They formed on the wall itself. It was scary as I had two small children at the time. You have to cover their head in blankets when you take them outside so their lungs don't freeze.
