I wanted to write the same thing. Usually his videos are well researched and balanced, but he glossed over SO many technologies, companies, people and stepping stones just to quickly get to the ad half, that it REALLY stood out. I mean... there were notable predecessors to CRTs. Plasma not even appearing. Passive matrix was HUGE on notebooks for quite some time. But even when just emphasizing on LCD: TN/VA/other approaches to LCD screens - at least mention these things. Backlighting differences, especially regarding OLED. And so much more I kept thinking: "Surely he'll address that next" - but didn't. And also... a Chinese phone software "actively analyzing my screen activity" - LOOOOOOL! Yeah, THAT's what people crave! XD Imho this video should best be taken offline and quickly forgotten about. As much as I love Dagogo - this was probably one of his weakest works for years. (And I've been watching since there was another "s" in the channel name.) Next to no news to many, and too shallow for those who are young enough to have seen something new to them here.

@@julienckjm7430 Do you really think LG, Samsung & Sony weren't worth mentioning in this "display evolution video"? The amount of work they had done on evolving display technology is way too much as compared to MI.

You should do a video on AMD. It's amazing how Lisa Su managed to turn this company around!

Ow yeah, if the power of Lisa Su could also fix their huge software short coming support, i would buy their GPUs. But sadly it seems that she is not seriously concern about it which is a really sad, i am disappointed in her and the team on that.

This feels like a rushed video. Unlike other videos in the past, you actually missed some key information. Plasma displays were not even mentioned at all. The way multi touch has evolved was taken so clumsily and wasn't given much attention It would have been better if you focused on the history and evolution instead of your stupid paid ad by Xiaomi

I am perfectly happy to see a Xiaomi sponsored video in one of my top favorite channels. However, one small gripe I have, Xiaomi doesn't actually manufacture or develop the technology for the screens, these will have come from either Tianma or Samsung, probably even LG also. Kudos to them for bringing a better approach to adaptive brightness control and pushing various reading modes, but this is not their credit for creating these awesome high-refresh rate displays. Before anyone get the idea of me not liking Xiaomi much, I have bought 4 Xiaomi phones with my own money in this lifetime. Compared to 1 Samsung, 1 Huawei and 3 Nokia phones.

Hey, this video felt more like an advertisement for Xiaomi, the video started off like a usual Coldfusion video but second half of the video just didn't seem like a normal Coldfusion video, I never expected one of my favorite channels would turn out videos which are advertisements for a company. :(
@Aryen5674 жыл бұрын
if you watched the video, you can see that yeah Xiaomi is advertised but Dagogo uses this in a way to explain the future progression of technology like uh its not as bad or bad at all as you make it sound. pretty sure he could have picked any other company to analyse by reviewing their product but this way he has a correspondent who he can ask direct questions too and its a good way to earn revenue. like give the man a chance please life is hard and its not as bad as you portray it :(
@debu61574 жыл бұрын
@@Aryen567 The Xiaomi guy never really told anything useful like how the displays work or how they are achieving the high refresh rate(Maybe not allowed by the Company), he only said that high refresh rate is good,looks smooth blah blah ,which makes it look like an advertisement for Xiaomi, In Coldfusion's other video's he explains the tech and how it works too, you can see that in this video too but with the first part of it where he explains LED tech and CRT tech very nicely. Overall, I never said the video was bad, it just felt like an advert towards the end.

you have no clue sorry, the whole entire point of e-ink is that it DOESNT refresh.. thats the whole point, once you draw a picture it doesn't need any energy as it doesn't refresh as long as page doesn't change, thats why you can read a book and stay on 1 frame for 5minutes and no energy is used....

Almost all phones with higher refresh rate can do adaptive refresh rates. The ROG Phone 3, Galaxy Note20 Ultra and others do it too, Xiaomi isn't special. This is just a stupid ad. He's literally talking to Xiaomi's *marketing* lead
