OMFG ... How can a song bring tears to the eyes of a 51 year old man?!?!? When Chris's piano kicked in at 2:38 the hairs raised up on my neck. Then Will's drums build for about a minute before Jonny's trademark lead riff. And that's when the tears started ... jeez ... I'm awestruck!

When you read through other comments, fans are seeing similarities to probably a dozen Coldplay songs going right back to their early stuff ... and that's what makes this track so good!! It's a instant classic. Everything you want from a Coldplay song, packed into 4 and half minutes of utter bliss!

No one understands how unusual it is for a band to be this relevant after 20 years. Coldplay is one of the most successful bands of all time, due to the strength of Chris Martin's songwriting

Based on the fact that you gave on how their old songs were uploaded to YT between 2008-2011, I hate how many people think Coldplay copied that David Guetta song just because it was uploaded earlier (sooo annoying!). Also, I'm glad that you bring up how popular Coldplay was before Viva La Vida. I also hate how some people call Coldplay a sellout. In order for an artist to be a sellout, you have to be underground first. Coldplay was never underground. Yellow was a massive hit for alternative music in 2000. AROBTTH was one of the best-selling albums of its decade, and X&Y was the best-selling album in the world the year it was released according to some sources.

Jose, Sell out: Anyone who sacrifices artistic integrity in an effort to become more successful or popular (generally in music); someone who forgets their roots. What are you talking about underground? Critics and serious music fans havent been happy since their debut. I personally loved everything up to Viva La Vida. They're not as shit as everyone says they are but they're still pretty shit. Such a shame.

Throughout all their releases I see the "Coldplay essence", and I feel this song has a little bit of everything blended into it. thankyou2532 it's not exactly so much the words. It's the context and the feel. "I wanna walk in a two" "when everything is falling all around you". It relates directly to a certain despair that we've all felt. It hits your heart because Coldplay makes it that you're not alone in your despair even when you think you are. When you think no one understands. You're not supposed to listen, you're supposed to feel

When a song is too good you've gotta comment TWICE. I can see why people is so glad with this song xD That heavenly and etheral feeling you used to get with their songs is back. The video itself is just as... Outworldly? I can't even describe it. It feels like a song you'd hear seeing the Earth eons after humankind's passing. Like... A song of the life cycle, itself, to such small scale to the biggest we've seen. Universe. It's simply... Dang it, Coldplay, keep walking your original path. You're doing pretty good, guys.

Everyone saying that this is Coldplay, then what is everything else they have released and work so hard to do? They have always been Coldplay, why define them with only one style? They have evolved and tried new things and just want to have fun with their material. Back then or now, they will always be Coldplay.

I've been waiting this for years. This sound. This Coldplay. All the things they've been doing are amazing and they have been really successful and I really admire them for that. Between the most pop influenced releases of them they gave us Ghost Stories, but this, THIS, is what I've been wanting for years. The real, old school like, mixed with X&Y having a baby with GS and AROBTTH sound. AMAZING SONG!!! THANK YOU COLDPLAY!!

Where on earth has this Coldplay been for the past 10 years???? This is top notch, just like Viva La Vida's Coldplay. It makes me real angry because this shows how much potential the band has. Best song they've done in a long time.
@arthurwaring7 жыл бұрын
Luis Faraudo Band's evolve. They've been active since 20 years. Change is evident. You can't expect them to make the same kind of music for so long. But yes this sound's like the old Coldaplay and I really like this song! Kinda has that Clocks vibe to it. I prefer this over their recent collaboration with that DJ group
@luisfaraudo29537 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't expect them to make the same type of music, i'm not that kind of person, and i'm all in for good changes regarding the music that bands make. But there's also plenty of bands that have tried to "evolve" while maintaning their essence, and Coldplay forgot that with their latest full-length. Also, that colab is a fucking abomination tbh.
@luisfaraudo29537 жыл бұрын
They kinda brought the quality of the music down with their latest album, but this is a step in the right direction.
@jrossgriff36667 жыл бұрын
Luis Faraudo Parachutes and ROBTTH was when Coldplay were at their best.
@WarGuardia7 жыл бұрын
I completely disagree with your statement, plus, Chris even stated that he doesn't wanna continue the whole melancholy theme with his songs and actually go towards more happy, people-connecting-vibe songs. To quote Chris: "I don't wanna go through the whole of my life feeling shitty about myself, because it's not making anyone happy." I personally prefer the new Coldplay, even though I'm a fan from "Parachutes".
