@@stevenangel8235 They are the same band! Perhaps it’s because they are in happier places today? But I think it’s great they put out some albums that are a little different. It’s incredibly brave to do. Plus IMO if they were still putting out the same sounding music, people would be complaining that their songs all sound the same! And they still perform many of their old songs at current concerts…

@@youdbeinspired Dude, I'm too tired to debate some stranger online. I was at their show, they still have acoustic & audience request section which was sublime and Chris's voice was particularly awesome especially for quiet songs which need more vocal strength like Sparks, Swallowed in the sea, Us against the world, Everglow. They have NOTHING to prove. Nothing. Have a nice day.

@@kalimbalove1912shame their new stuff is dreadful. Loved them from Parachutes onwards, but Everyday Life, Music of the Spheres and (probably Moon Music) are awful. These songs in this video are true Coldplay. Not the rubbish pop band they are in the last few years.

Cemeteries of London is one of the greatest rock songs ever created, there I said it and I'm not even joking. *whatever whatever I do what I want!*. It's got everything a great rock song needs. Great lyrics that are really original and unorthodox and really metaphysical on top of it, great guitar riffs and an extremely catchy rhythm and beat track. It's short but really sweet and extremely rousing too like all the best anthems are and this one makes me feel like I'm a soldier going into battle. Gets me going everytime I listen to Viva La Vida and it may be my favourite track even over Viva La Vida itself. The album cover is dope too even though it's just a copy of the original art piece it's taken from. One of the best albums of the noughties and I think it stands high on a list of amazing albums of the century period. There's loads of great craftsmanship in it and I'd probably call it a better album than A Rush of Blood to the Head or Parachutes even though it's not my personal favourite. That's X&Y but that's a whole other deal and I ain't ready to defend that from any rock critics reading this. It's not as well engineered as Viva La Vida or some of their other albums but it's got great power, intensity and emotion and I never get sick of it. Give me Coldplay over Nick Cave or any other snootier rock band any day of the week. I'm not saying Nick Cave is a bad artist far from it but I find him too maudlin whereas Coldplay make me love music again everytime they release an album and I think they deserve just as much serious praise from critics as someone like Nick Cave because their music touches way more people nowadays than he does and in the end what's the point of making great art or music if only a select few critics or rock snobs are going to be able to appreciate it.
