Having had my bio father who was a monster, to say the least, and then a daddy who cherishes me it passes thru my spirit differently. This makes me mourn the soul and inner child of my bio father because I know he was hurt inside in ways unfathomable. I wish I could have known a better more alive version of him. I love who he could have been but never was able to be due to the abuse he endured and passed on. Ive had vivid dreams where I am untying they chains around his heart and found his little spirit of his inner child there in pain and held him to my heart. That said, he died tragically in a drunk car accident due to addiction to the bottle. He tried to drown his sorrows rather than heal them as I have spent my whole life healing through meditation and therapy and friendships and Coldplay- my new religion. I am so grateful for all of the pure love my adoptive daddy gave me and the love he constantly poured over me. This song is just different for children who overcame abuse. Ive cried out my pain to this song and a few others by coldplay and it has been a beautiful experience. Love you coldplay for your purifying words. Namaste from my heart to yours.
