rogue isn't bad, it just requires a completely different playstyle to take full advantage of it, compared to other classes it requires a much more methodical playstyle to properly manage stealth, and good aim to not waste the freakishly high burst damage if you know how to use it its definitely one of the best classes

OK, so here is a funny story that happened today. I am a newbe to calamity. Never played it before, never read a wiki. And today I happened to defeat Calamitas clone on revengence and I really liked her fight so I wanted to fight her again, but before I did that, I happened to test my new summoner staff on the infernum deerclops and I forgot to chance back to rev, and so when I summoned Calamitas clone, I was shocked that it was the infernum one. I was literally begging for mercy, but I was able to push her down to her last phase on my 1st attempt. That was a shock to me because It felt like I would never be able to beat the mech trio and the ocean worm on infernum, but here I can beat Calamitas??? So what ended up happening is that I beat her in like 5 attempts or so, and she was insanely fun to fight. Also, thanks for telling me that I need to fight the toxic ocean glist underwater. I didn't know that.😅

Some weapons you missed that you should use if you ever do this again are the Wave Skipper and the Holy Concentrated Water. These are extremely easy to get once you enter hardmode, Wave Skipped is bought from the Sea King and I forgot how you make the other weapon, I do know it uses hallowed biome stuffs. Anyway, these should knock out Cryogen and the mech bossss. Wave Skipper for Cryogen, Twins, and Skeleton. The other for destroyer. Blazing star is also fantastic if you prefer that one. Edit: Some other weapons I forgot to mention were the Draedon weapons. Those are incredibly powerful and would've made a lot of your fights easier, especially towards moon lord and and post moon lord.

Seconds after I have seen this video in my recommendations I knew that Toast will suffer in pre DoG (cuz I already completed infernum Rogue stealth strikes playthrough). But I went a little bit much, much harder way of beating DoG. Before it I also tried beating Old Duke for his big ol' scythe with big ol' damage (damage was so high I actually beated Yharon with this thing). Wasted 800+ att on DoG (before beating Old Duke, after that I whooped his ass on first try) and 500+ att on Old Duke, never playing Rogue in Infernum again. Also when I played there was a bug with Purity and Rogue fast shooting weapon that creates with cosmilite bars (infinite stealth attacks. 60k+ dps). This combination kills Yharon under 30 secs and makes Exo Mechs with SCal a big ass joke. I felt so bad about it that I went into Infernum once more, but with summoner this time (but this time no problems, calamity made summoner the most op class ever).

I also did an infernum rogue playthrough and I must say that it is a bit harder than the melee playthrough I am doing rn, but that's probably just because it was my 1st time playing Infernum. So idk, I don't really think rogue is bad at all (I did mostly spam the weapon with few stealth strikes here and there so idk, maybe spamming is just better for rouge).

Whether or not stealth strikes are better depends on the weapon, for example the heavenfallen stardisk can do upwards of 8000 damage with a stealth strike, but the fantasy talismans do more damage by just spamming

1:10:12 Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Something odd about this. Notice if you might that he actually gets hit with almost no hp by the devours jump from portal to portal, an atack that can almost 1 shot a full tank, the message in the chat box says he got killed but instead instanly respawns on the bed with full hp, he does lose the small tad bit of adrenaline, something that does infact confirm that he was hit and killed but was taken back to the fight with full hp, alowing him to finish what would have been just another failed attempt should this not have happened, and judging by how quickly he past by the last bosses, yharon, draedon and calamitas theres something that tells me thag either he didn't have the time or will to edit or show his deaths, or cheated by having an instant respawn and panickly tried to end the video. Of course this is just speculation but its something that my eyes caught. (Sorry if I repeat some part as I am writting this on a phone, its my skill issue of being broke.)

I actually experienced that bug myself. You need to teleport at the same time the boss kills you, which for some reason skips the respawn timer entirely. Not sure if it's due to the shorter respawn timer mod or it was originally like that in the base game. It's pretty hard to do it on purpose and is usually done on accident.

Hey i have a suggestion. since you finished infernum, i think you could maybe play masochist mode or like a zenith seed master mode or zenith seed death mode. if you dont want to play anything difficult, you could play terrarias RPG mode which is so fun and also some other mods which contain crazy bosses witf nice effects and stuff like secrets of the shadow, spirits of the forgotten or wall of temple.

The reason that you get 3 heart crystals when breaking them is because you're using Excavate on them, which gives you a crystal for each tile (except for one of them for some reason).

I disagree that rogue is bad. Yes, stealth strikes suck and all but you gotta remember half the weapons with reworks are currently NOT rogue. Meaning most are from older enemy reworks. The key is finding which ones are viable. This brings you to things like sky stabber, Kelvin catalyst, prismaline, etc. Things like samsara slicers and subduction blade are garbage so ye. It really just depends on how you play but rogue is by far no means the worst class. All that it is is just currently outdated in terms of some of the new weapons and reworks. Hell the sky stabber got nerfed recently cuz it worked past mech bosses for worm types and even did significant damage to astrum deus if you tried pre-plantera

Does it say he beat them on his 4th attempt? Idk if it does, but if it does I doubt that tbh. I found exo mech to be the hardest fight in the game (havent fought calamitas yet). It looked a bit sketch to me too. They kill you in three hits and you have to be amazingly consistent to manage to dodge them well enough for four and a half minutes.
