Christ, many of the best strikers miss some chances (people used to joke about how Andy Cole needed 3 chances to score 1 goal) and think about where Jackson was this time last year (an offside merchant collecting yellow cards for fun) compared to now with more non-penalty goals than any other player but Haaland. He keeps improving and there's no reason to suggest he won't keep going. 4 goals and 3 assists in 6 prem games and you're really going to hate on Jackson. Smh

I think the lines can get a bit blurred (Bergkamp is a good example and you could argue that he's either or a hybrid of the two), but pure number 10s are guys like Zico, Riquelme or Bruno Fernandes, where Rooney, Cantona, Del Piero and Raul are famous examples of second strikers. I'd say Palmer is so good that he can be your midfielder or your forward and will probably evolve and change over time Also, football at the elite level has kind of transcended positions. It's more about roles and you can have two rbs playing in different systems who might have the same position on paper, but their managers ask them to do different things (say Trent vs Wan Bissaka)

I honestly still think he’s underrated and people don’t give him enough credit. I’m not exaggerating when I say the foden, Saka and palmer debate has ended. He’s clear of both. He has way more to his game. People think ahhh palmer can score. No. Palmer can score from almost any situation. But he’s so unbelievable at passing and dribbling too, and his technical ability is just off the charts for any player let alone someone of his age. And not only his visual attributes but his reading of a football game and his mentality and the way he can deal with pressure. One of the most underrated things he did against Brighton was that pass to Jackson that Jackson missed. It was so believable that only the likes of a Messi or KDB could do. I genuinely think he can become top 5 best in the world

If Cole was doing what he is doing now at City he wouldve been rated on Bellingham aka top 3 Balondor type conversations by now. He'd be in conversations with Vinny etc. winning matters, and City win titles and go far in the UCL every season so he would've had more exposure, if City had Cole Palmer now, they basically would have the replacement for KDB. He is actually very similar to Wolfsburg version of KDB, but better goalscorer. He scores more goals than Foden, has more of an eagerness to get g/a, and is waaaaay more creative than Foden. Let me put it this way, Palmer plays like a super in form Foden, in most games, and when Coles at his best, he plays like KDB, Kaka, Totti at their absolute best. Aka Palmer can hit a level Foden can't because he's a killer. Most praise I can give him, City fan.
