Today we are linking up with our friend Capt.Collier down in Dauphin Island, AL to chase down what we think is one of the tastiest fish in the ocean, The Sheepshead! These guys stack up on hard structure this time of year and are among the most popular fish to target when the weather begins to cool off! Brandon is a pro when it comes to locating and catching sheepshead so if you are ever in the area and want to book a trip, he is the man!

What a joy it is to watch the team fishing together! We always enjoy Jay in the boat having a great time, especially catching her very first sheepshead. She gets so excited and it’s contagious!! The catch and cook couldn’t have gone any better! The kids are simply adorable, and yes, you’ll want to keep a close eye on that lil’ girl…..lol. Thanks for sharing and we hope to see more of your fishing adventure in the gulf. I still wish you could meet Robert and Sarah Arrington….you both would enjoy each others company!😂

Dauphin Island bridge is one of my favorite fishing places here at home. Your captain comes from a wonderful family. Cant go wrong when ya got a Collier leading the way. Sheep Heads are fun to catch and even better ta eat. Really enjoyed your family. Cant wait til it warms up a bit more so I can get out there and catch some flounder, Specs, Reds and our personal favorite, the White Trout. After 45 years of marriage, nothing better than to go get um with the wife. NOTHING...Ole Sarge.

My mother in 1960s would visit her mother on Florida east coast and loved to fIsh for sheepsheads off the bridges. Called then the "white perch" in the ocean.. Sharp teeth to clean the barnacles off structures. My grandmother in 1950s used to fish in Vero Beach off the bridges near the Dodgers spring traiinng camp...players on team got to know her so well they would come watch het fish and hold the pole...Ca

Has Cy Bear learned hi ABC's yet? I never forget the two year old girl I saw in the hospital a few years ago reciting the Alphabet., It's never to early to learn, and the earlier, the better. Remember it's always better to be ahead when you start scho0ol than be behind ABC's and Numbers are a big st5art in the right direction, rather than being lost and behind the curve. Merry Christmas guys, Sheepshead fishing has always been one of my favorites, and they are great t6ast5ing as well.

Jay's doing her hair like mine. You guys watching me??? Or you might need see an exorcist drive out demons. Lemonfish and Amberjack taste better marinated about an hour in a "good" hot sauce. Frying, the oil takes most the heat out. Looking back in hindsight, it'd probably be good to take some news paper, wipe the hotsauce off and then roll in yellow mustard in a light coat. The crust is better neutral, while the meat is better with hot sauce. Grennel, choupique, mud fish are supposed to be cleaned never touching water at least frying, where newspaper is used to wipe them clean.
