My favorite fishing memory was going fishing with my dad for the first time in nearly 20 years. Grew up fishing with him but after major back issues it just got too difficult for him to do. He got healthy and was able to get back into fishing right around the time I really got back into it. So now we can and will go together often

I love watching all of your videos… even the ones I’ve already seen. You truly put out amazing content and convey nature at its best. I particularly love watching little Cypress growing up and now you have given us “Summer” for all four seasons. I can honestly say that you are the perfect couple that God has shown favor and deservedly so. You are truly Blessed!!! 🙏🏽💕❤️💖💝🙏🏽

Man, I swear that there's nothing in the world as fun as spending an afternoon sitting on a bream bed! You can catch anything & everything in one spot - blue gills, chinquapin (red ears), Mason bream (the hybrids), crappie, & bass! There's nothing like casting your line out with a cork & as soon as your line hits the water your cork never even hesitates. It goes STRAIGHT UNDER! It is FANTASTIC!!!

Amazing! Please stay safe in this crazy weather. I get so worried when I see tornadoes up there. Get a small battery powered AM/FM/NOAA weather alert radio like the EZBNB RD207. Is rechargeable and has a bright flashlight and fits in a shirt pocket. Lots of clones of this receiver. Has good reception. I keep mine close during our severe Louisiana weather. I really like it. It can function as an off grid 18650 battery charger for flashlights etc when combined with a folding solar panel with charging ports.

My favorite fish caught some today on local township preserve pond. The water temps still in upper forties, got a small jig with a Berkeley angle worm treaded on red in color. Small weighted slip float I make with a bb size shot six inches above. Throw it out and just shake it then reel a little shake . They don’t nibble, when they bite they take it down !!

Is there no limit on red ear? Like i dont come from that part of the country but doesnt taking 110 fish out of a hole kinda set the spot back by like a decade? I mean if people are actually gonna eat all the fish then fine, i mean great, but you havent had a bite like that in 3 years.. then ya take 100 fish outta the spot
@willstarnes1246
@willstarnes1246 Жыл бұрын
Drew and Charlie the number of red ear they caught didn’t set them back or hurt the number of them there at all if anything it helped them, bream and red ear spawn multiple times a year and can quickly over populate a body of water and then they will all be small and can actually affect large mouth bass and other fish that feed on them. My grandfather built a big pond on his farm and he used to have the biologists come out and check it every so often and he always would tell him take more of the blue gill and other sun fish he stocked in his pond to help his bass grow and to keep the population in check due to how much they spawn . Once the water is 65 degrees and above they start spawning and will spawn 2-3 times in a summer
