Coleman B200RSV Engine Swap 224cc Predator

Awesome swap man! I got my RSV in December and I’m taking your advice and just running the stock motor as much as I can and then getting a predator to 24 and transfer over all the stock components like you have. I’m definitely gonna save this video for later on when I go down that road. Excited to see what else you guys do to that 224 predator motor as far as stage kids or exhaust

Great video here. I completely agree that it's a good idea to run them stock at first. That's what I should have done but chose to build it right out of the box. I've never used a zip tie on the throttle spring but have relocated its position on the governor arm for 5500 plus RPM with the screw in place. You would lose a little power if you use the Coleman muffler. If you compare the inlet of both mufflers you will see why. The stock 224 muffler is the best small block muffler there is. I use mine on my 196 bike. Works great with larger jets and the filter kit. Better than a header if you want to keep the noise down.

Japanese industrial screwdrivers otherwise known as JIS screwdrivers they are usually the best as far as gripping the screw good

I’m swapping my b200rsv engine into a 224 predator, could I get away with just putting the new engine in, or would that be a bad idea??

Yes, but you will lose your headlight power source and kill switch.

Hey do the harbor freight predator engines 212 cc fit in a B200R? My engine blew up I need a engine that fits

You’ll need to do some modifications to make it fit mostly you’ll need to make sure that it’s the same shaft size and not a five eights because the harbor freight engine is three-quarter inch. You can buy an adapter but generally, it’s better just to get a different clutch assembly or switch to a CVT.

I prefer Honda GX 200 engines I am not a fan of the Predator just my personal preference. I have an older Kawasaki FR 691V on my older mower. I have been tempted to try and put it on a Mini-Bike ha ha! I am afraid it will stick out the sides too much though.
