Looks good, they could've built in foldable wind shields to the inside of the lid so if you did need it on a real windy day you could just fold em out.

Unlike some other stoves this hyperflame is more resistant to wind. Ideally tho you'll point the back guard at the wind to stop the heat blowing off your pans etc.

I know how to cook. I watched this video to find out if I need to use up all the gas in the fuel container before I disconnect it. Will the cylinder reseal when I remove it if it still has fuel in it?

The cylinder will re seal when you unscrew with gas still in it. The cooking demo wasn't to show how to cook but to show how the stove performs. Happy Camping!

The regulator needs a higher setting, these burners run too hot. I like the unit, but 90% control range is redundant.

Have you tried using the heat diffuser with it? We sell one by Ozpig, but they're commonly available in all kitchen shops too. www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/ozpig-diffuser

I had the same problem but there's a pretty quick and easy hack to do with the stove to allow you really great simmer control.

This stove looks great. But I'm absolutely mystified about the extension arm that sticks out the side to connect to the gas bottle. What the hell were Colman thinking when they did that. Was the designer drunk that day?! I all my years of camping, I've never seen such an accident waiting to happen. And the more I look at it on the various videos on YT, the more stupid it appears. A spectacularly dumb design!

You get used to it but we don't love it either. Coleman did sell flexible hose upgrade but discontinued it a while ago 😭

@@tentworld it looks like Coleman sell an LCC27 spec hose now There are a few things that are great, and a few things that suck on this expensive stove. The regulator arm which has to be used even with a hose to propane bottle, and the flimsy arm for the lid are both unfortunate design choices LC227 bottles look like they're backwards compatible to POL hoses/fittings, so you can probably get the generic Coleman to 3/8 hose and fit a 3/8 to POL adaptor which gives you more versatility

@@scod3908 the only LCC27 Coleman hose we know of is this one - www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/coleman-1-5m-gas-hose-type-lcc27-to-bom Which unfortunately does not ditch the regulator arm. Many years ago now, Coleman did sell a hose that had a regulator on the end of it. Like what we see for low pressure BBQs. But it was discontinued. But rest assured, we loved it too, and we ask for it every year on range review. Lots of people do not like the regulator arm.
