I have a single for hunting season. Sleeps very comfortable, easy to set up and fold up/transport. The D size batteries fills this up in about a minute for a twin. I put my flannel summer sleeping bag (unzipped) on top, then my regular sleeping bag on top. The side table is great for water bottle, cell phone, etc. Being 18 inches off the ground is nice and allows storage underneath, i.e. boots, clothes, coats, coolers... I sleep better camping than at home!

Is it comfortable?
@ProjectAnubisUSA2 жыл бұрын
Yes if your not on the bars. If your bigger the bar might be felt though the mattress because they are the supports but can be felt if you lay on them and are heavier like myself 220lb might be apparent as little as 180lbs. Keep in mind this happens as the mattress stretches and sags.

Dope review! Is it hard putting it back in the bag??
@ProjectAnubisUSA3 жыл бұрын
Nope not too bad, I recommend putting 1/8 maybe plywood, plastic or steel at the base (inside of bag loosely placed) of the bag to help stiffen up the wheels if you’re planning to roll it. All bags may vary so see the room you have if any to do this easy mod if it’s warranted.

I've never tested the coleman but your review brought me like I was. You are right about the cover should be durable. That air mattress is fine, but stick it in a tensioned mattress cover. I have videos that explain the concept.

Great video! I want to buy this for my husband. Do you know what pump would be best to buy? Would all car air mattress pumps fit this mattress? Sorry, I'm clueless! haha
@ProjectAnubisUSA3 жыл бұрын
No problem, asking questions and becoming more knowledgeable will be more rewarding than getting something your not satisfied with and realizing it the day you have to use it. For the air pump it depends if you want to go wireless or wired. Coleman has three different aftermarket air pumps one is battery operated, rechargeable battery operated, and wired. I would definitely purchase a wired one if you have a vehicle or a battery pack to Utilize cigarette lighter. you would not have to worry about remembering batteries (expensive) or your rechargeable battery pack on the device dying on the off-season. By buying the corded pump you will also have more power and I have to worry about anything bogging down. As far as the air mattress is concerned you would be able to fit any air mattress that’s a single stack that has the same dimensional size as the one it comes with. I cannot say if it will except all of them since some are made better than others as far as the air mattress is concerned and cheaper ones are not exact dimensions and kind of bow out because of stretch. You don’t have to utilize the sheet that is connected to the frame you could also set the mattress on top but it may slide as you get on and off the air bed. I personally have a double stacked air mattress so I have more cushion but the only downfall is it will deflate a little (I like my air mattress Stiff) When the weather changes the temperature and it’s double the height of a typical air mattress; you would have to air it back up to make it hard again. Hope this helps, if in doubt just lmk

You said the mattress could be swapped but they dont make 7” thick air mattresses for it any air mattress you get will either be 8-10” unless the fabric is stretchy then it could work. Im thinking of getting one but thats my main concern of whether i can find a replacement if it gets damaged
@ProjectAnubisUSA2 жыл бұрын
Good to get educated, thanks for the post. I'm not sure to that extent on the new air mattresses. I know the old Ozarks' (Walmart) were thin but unsure of the exact measurements. You can always place the new mattress on top of the fabric or remove the fabric (cut). The fabric is stretchy to an extent and is thin like a sheet if not thinner. More than likely at the time of replacement the fabric is more than likely thrashed unless the mattress popped.

Thanks for the review! Is this frame useable with another air mattress? We have queen sized air mattresses already and just want a frame so that we’re off the ground. Also, how tall is the frame itself off the ground?
@ProjectAnubisUSA Жыл бұрын
It’s in storage right now due to the lack of camping I’ve been able to do. From what I can roughly recall it’s about the height of a regular cot plus the mattress; I’d say the frame is 12” and the air is an additional 8”-9”. I’m about 6’ 1” and the entire thing was up to my knee, I can sit down pretty well square to the bed.

@@ProjectAnubisUSA Thanks for responding! That helps, because I’m thinking that if we use our air mattress on top(even without inflating the Coleman air mattress) we’re gonna have to take a running start to get on it. 😂🤣
@taste0fmandi Жыл бұрын
You can only use with a slim air mattress, like 8 inch thick or it will not fit inside the zipper pocket and will slide right off the frame.

Does anyone know how well this does with 3 people? Are the edges firm enough that the person on each side wouldn't feel like they'll roll off? Would be nice if they made a king size one!

Too small for 3 The frame will hurt unless they are kids.
@graphicsdewd2 жыл бұрын
@@ProjectAnubisUSA Ok, thank you very much! That's the advice we sought. It would be 3 adults so then it does sound like the center ridge would be troublesome. After a little more research, for those who may be interested, we found other companies that make some king and California king-size air mattresses with built-in pumps. They're thicker, 18-20" so they should provide plenty cushion for the weight. Though, you may need an inverter to run the 110v if you're out camping and only have your vehicle for power. Helping out the throuples out there. 🙂
@ProjectAnubisUSA2 жыл бұрын
@@graphicsdewd Just make sure the max weight is suitable. Keep in mind the large ones are for bigger people and don't necessarily accomadate 3x the weight. The biggest area for failure is the seams (might carry a mattress cement for future patchwork) and built in pumps. Also, a bigger thicker mattress will require a stronger pump (hence the 115V requirement?) to get it stiff enough so make sure it can firm the mattress since it will stretch throughout the night.

Thanks for sharing. We purchased this last year. Sleeping on this was not comfortable. The noise you made just by getting on it is exactly how it sounds all night with movement. Believe me I know even people camping beside us could hear it. It sounds like bubble wrap popping. We bought on Amazon and it was at that time over $200.00. Secondly this frame will pinch you!! Sorry in my opinion this was huge disappointment from Coleman.

Yup, I love to talk about the interest I have. Especially running scenarios in my head of potential issues… you gotta know what you’re spending your hard earned money on. My day job requires me to be a critical thinker and it trickles down into everything I do. Maybe some advice, if the video is longer than 8min (typical attention span for conversation)…. Or maybe not even a “short” (typical attention span is 8 seconds to determine if you’re invested in the conversation)… it’s probably too long to stay attentive anyway. 🤯
