This is a great tent. Bought one during the pandemic. A great tent for 2 to 3 people with gear storage. As a 2 person tent, this thing is amazing. Roughing it without compromising...

We have this tent and used it on an extended camping trip last summer. We could fit four army-style cots into the tent, but it was a bit tight. Gear went under the cots and in other spots not occupied by cots. It held up beautifully to heavy rain from thunderstorms. There were no leaks. It's a great value.

Another great video, and it’s 6 person - even better! I had the Skydome 6p dark room. I liked it but I returned it because I thought the screen room of the Carlsbad might make it the better buy. Interested to see how the Carlsbad stacks up against these others. Kind of narrowed my options to the Carlsbad and the Skylodge. I bought the original Coleman instant tent 6p, but then noticed Coleman had another instant tent - Skylodge. I gave my mom the original instant tent because the Skylodge has two doors and comes with full rain fly which the other doesn’t. The Carlsbad dark room with fast pitch is pretty cool. I’ll let your video decide for me - like always! This is my favorite channel. Keep up the great content!

So sorry about that :( But yes, I'll release the Carlsbad video hopefully soon! Does the Skylodge have a full rainfly though? It doesn't look like it, at least that's what I think. I have no idea why Coleman makes their instant tent rainflies so tiny though, the water protection is practically minimal sadly :( It's so sweet of you to say that, and I hope I can produce a good enough Coleman tent video eventually 😊

You’re right. It probably doesn’t have full rainfly. See, that’s why I come here. To get all the information! Makes the Carlsbad seem even better. It’s okay if you don’t have the dark room version since I’ve experienced the technology in the Skydome. Every video you post I always pay attention to the setup. I really some of these tents but I need instant - 1 min - or at least the fast pitch - 5 min - because I have no patience lol. Once I’ve identified my camping spot I want to setup and depending where I’m at I either want to fish or hit the beach or both, immediately! Fast pitch might be the sweet spot since it packs smaller than the instant tents. I’m 6ft so I also watch your measurements closely lol

Hahaha thank you so much Romulus, you're always so sweet and I appreciate it 😊 I actually do have the dark room Carlsbad, but I think mine is a bit defective because the dark room isn't as dark as my other tents! Sadly I realized this a bit too late, so it's no longer under warranty or the return period on Amazon. I'll definitely talk about that in the Coleman video 😊 Oooh yeah instant tents are really nice. I really like how quick they set up, but they are harder to clean though! And also the big packed size like you mentioned. I think you're right - fast pitch is the sweet spot! At least you can hit the beach or fish soon after haha! Thank you sooo much for all your awesome comments, I really appreciate it 😊😊😊

Stumbled upon your videos as I am trying to figure out if I should get the Sundome versus the Skydome .. I really like your videos. Comprehensive, to the point and they provide a recommendation. Kudos. So, do (or anyone) you have a reco of Skydome v/s Sundome? Key criteria for me is I want to fit in 2 queen mattresses and setup isn't too crazy. It looks like the Sundome isn't too bad.

Sundome: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGrQmoudqZ2WY9k Let me know if that's what you're looking for! I think for you, the Sundome will be better. Its base area is a little bit larger and I was able to fit 2 almost-queen sized beds. I recommend checking the dimensions of your mattresses too. I hope this helps! I do not have the budget to be a gear snob, despite detractors these Coleman tents provide what I need. Many others have pointed out and it is important to buy Amazon (other reputable sources) direct. Walmart versions are not the same, I think the real thing has the lantern emblem. Would hate to see someone get a lesser product.

Hi Timothy! Thank you for your comment and the input! You're right about that - Coleman tents do provide a lot of campers with what they need. Me included, when I first started camping. Ooooh I never knew Walmart versions are not the same?! I bought one of my Coleman pop up tents from Walmart, and it turned out to be the same I think. Weird. Maybe I just got lucky. Thankfully I bought the rest from Amazon 😅 Thanks for the heads up!

Yes it would work! You can also just use a seam sealant instead of the heat seam tape (I've never tried the latter haha).

@Baileycbr600 Hi there! I'm using the Alps Mountaineering Vertex Airbed and the Etekcity Upgraded Camping Mattress. I actually did a review for both these mattresses in my 2-person camping mattress videos hahaha. I'm using the pump that came with the Alps Vertex Airbed, cos that's the best pump that I got hahaha. Forgot to mention that the fly needs to velcroed onto the two main poles. That's what keeps the fly on.

Hi Dylan, yes you can! It's actually recommended to always use a tarp to protect the tent flooring. And Coleman tent floorings aren't the highest quality (just polyethylene) so I do recommend using it. Hope this helps! 😊
