Great spot we camped in this area a lot when we were younger back in the mid 60s back then I remember there were some chaps we meet they were from California in the USA they were dredging for Gold and they showed us the Gold they had got in small plastic container it was full of gold they were surfers and used there gold finding's to help them travel the world for there surfing safaris which I thought was so cool did they have some stories to tell of places they had surfed what life the three of them had GREAT ViDEO & MEMORIES

Wow, great story! Thanks for sharing! We met an elderly couple with their camp chairs in the river with a little home made conveyor belt to find their gold. She had a tiny little jar full of the bits they had found. Can’t wait to head back to this area, beautiful spot in the world ⛺️

Appreciate all the love and messages 🙏 We love our Rover! I wouldn’t recommend it if you struggle to move and climb around the place but for us it is great. Suzy had 3 musts when we were looking. No more tent poles, a bed up off the ground and a toilet and shower system to get away from the crowds. Ticked all three and more 👍

Sorry for the late reply… it is just a dirt road in, the closer to the river the more river stones are littered on the ground…
