Hello, sound engineer here. From personal experience i would say that for the most deep sounding keyboard or "thock" i would recommend using a wooden case. Because wood resonates on low frequencies (exactly about 1.1 Hz.) For comparison the resonant frequency of plastic is about 9.225 Hz, and brass/metal resonates at a high frecuency of 100-150 Hz which is why brass plate keyboards are high pitched or "clacky".

@xxcridonxx7614 Жыл бұрын
Lubing cj’s doesn’t ruin smoothness at all. Polishing is a process that makes the stem fit smoother and reduces friction into the bottom housing by wearing it in. Lube also reduces friction. I’ve compared unlubed to my lubed cj’s and they feel exactly the same. Still buttery smooth. Only difference is that the plasticy sound of the upstroke (I found unbearable) was toned down a bit.

Personally, i lubed the entire stem. But it took away like 2% of the smoothness(not a lot but noticable), so make sure you test a few different methods of lubing on 2-4 CJ's and see what you like best! You will probably only need to do the top housing to fix the upstroke clack, but you might also want to lube/bag lube the springs! Hope that helps.

people say it's bad because it's too stiff for a gasket mounted kb and problematic clearance for stabs., better get a keychron q1 knob version or mod 007 if u dont mind the north facing leds
@coleydotmp42 жыл бұрын
Thanks frosty! Tbh - i would wait for reviews of their next keyboard to come out (Glorious has hinted that there's a V2 coming) if you are set in buying from Glorious. Problems with the GMMK Pro seemed to be quality control leading to things like the stabilizers not working due to being compressed by the plate, poor stock stabs, lack of flex even though it's a gasket mount, and overall a difficult build experience due to the complexity, despite being a "beginner" board. So I'd be cautious there, and opt for an Akko Mod007 or Keychron Q1 knob. Most of the people saying the GMMK pro is a great board, are not really enthusiasts, or it's their first foray into customs. Basically, all of the reviewers I trust didnt like it. There's also the Feker 75! and a TON of great 65% budget options.
