Can you imagine Coach Cowher or Coach Noll allowing all that prima donna @$#%. And it's not just the discipline issue - Tomlin, as well as Todd Haley, blew any chance of winning against the Jags with their play calling. I give the Jags credit, they are a really good team, but there's no way that should have happened.

Keep Ben but let him manage the game, and get a new QB who can replace him since Ben is gonna be out of the doors in couple of years as is.Also I agree with Schlereth I think it starts up top - though I'd go with the owners and the other shareholders who own 70% of the team. They have to know what they want either keep the coaching staff or find a new QB simple as that or as a last resort get rid of the QB and the coaching staff - clean slate. Way too much drama.

As Mike Tomlin has demonstrated to players, fans, and football analysts throughout his tenure at Pittsburgh, the Steelers' head coach does not have the propensity for growing into the position. Tomlin refuses to become the painstaking disciplinarian he needs to be. He's doesn't appear prepared to alter his coaching technique in order to make more discerning and intelligent decisions on the field and off. If Tomlin is only capable of rigid adherence to his own shortcomings it is time for ownership to begin looking for his replacement.

Jags fan here, Big Ben played outstanding football in that game and nearly came back from 21 behind and threw 4 perfect td throws for more than 30 yds against the best defense in football. He’s still got it, probably for only two years but he’s a top 5 qb still.
@michaelascaife6 жыл бұрын
I've been a Steeler's fan since the 70's. You can't deny the fact that he always make critical mistakes as well. For example, why try to fit it in a tight window during the regular season game against the Patriots? Why not throw it away and give your chance a FG to tie the game? Yet, the ball was intercepted and the Patriots won the game.

You can go to Ben's page - the podcast actually covered the about the QB sneak and there was a part where he really asked to run it again (he said Haley didn't give it to him and he said it wasn't even in the playbook anymore; when Haley realized it, he said, maybe it should be); Tomlin responded to Ben "maybe when you were younger..." which is what bothers me if that's true. Brady does it all the time and is 40. Ben is big and strong and MS basically said what I have said 856 times - Ben could literally fall over and get a first down. He is 6'5" and roughly 245-250 LB. He was fantastic at it for years - it used to be one of my fave things to watch. It is even more ridiculous considering Ben has actually been running around a lot more than in the last while. I thought it was hilarious that early in the year, there were those who said: "Ben should retire; this is his last year; he doesn't take care of himself; he can't throw deep anymore; he can't move in the pocket anymore or scramble; he is holding back this offense. Maybe he should just become a game manager." Uh, hello, the game manager threw for 4251 yards in 15 games and now has over 51K passing yards. He was a magician down the stretch and what he did against Jax was nothing short of miraculous and unbelievable. They called that 6th TD a rushing TD because it was a lateral. He was a fu&king LION out there. He deserved more than that team gave. On top of it, we're all forgetting the real darn issue. Is anyone going to do something about our sieve of a defense, in addition to taking decision making away from Tomlin?

Wow...from KC Chiefs nation...I always liked Tomlin. Without looking or listening to his critics I would say hes easily top 5-6 coaches in NFL. Only issue I can see is he has too many stars with egos and act like babies. Hes a down to earth guy that loves football but his kids (players) are brats. Many good coaches were made to look bad by the ego loaded rosters they coached...they didn't manage that properly but knew THE GAME well. I probably wouldnt take him over Reid but wouldn't be upset if Reid retired amd we got Tomlin in KC.
@michaelbatista28696 жыл бұрын
Keenum has veigns of ice. He lead the team on "TWO" game winning drives. When he went down a point with 25 seconds left did he flinch? No. He stepped in there, delivered a STRIKE for 19 yards to Diggs, and then another perfectly thrown pass to Diggs (yes the whiff was partially luck, but more so a rookie player who got taken advantage of most game aside from his interception earlier, and he tried to "teach the vikings a lesson" by smacking Diggs with every bit of force he had, and completely 'Madden' whiffed. That was a 61 yard play. Does an Average Quarterback do that? Absolutely not. Could Andy Dalton or Nick Foles have done that? No, I highly doubt it.
@jbjacobs95146 жыл бұрын
Actually, both Keenum and Foles were about to lose their respective games when a miracle play (bounce, mistake) allowed them to advance. Keenum has no veins of ice. He couldn't even beat out the most horrific Goff season. In fact, he and Foles were on the same team once. I think he has had a charmed year, and I actually hope he wins the SB, but no veins of ice. Let's not go nutso here.
@michaelbatista28696 жыл бұрын
A Bounce off of a knee that should have been an interception. Foles had 3 completions for over 10 yards. The falcons defense was actually very good this year. Vikings can play excellent press-man coverage defense. That means foles will struggle to throw the pass because he's limited on mid-deep range passes.
