The fact that he can still hit those notes..fuck yes, Colin. One of the best and most underrated vocalist/musicians ever.

One of the best songs he ever wrote, in 30 odd years his voice has hardly changed at all, still brilliant.

Man I couldn’t agree more… this song takes me down a rough path of sadness but goddamn does it also make me feel better in the same breath. What a beautiful piece of art

One of the most underrated song writers, Colin Hay deserves many more accolades than he is given. He went into a dark hole after his initial success but lucky for all of us he came out the other side better than ever. Thank you Colin

I'm 55yrs old, remember this song when I was young in high school, perhaps that's why it's so good to here it again after all these years.

Those chords are just so tender and melancholy at the same time! It was a good song in studio form back in the day, but stripped back, it seems so much more powerful..

The fact that his vocals always tightened on those high notes and he still nails them is impressive. Like they were always tough in his range. Consistency is massive.

Grew up in the late 70s and early 80s. This was a great song from my formative years. Always will be in my top 10. Like fine wine, it's aged well especially in these days of crappy Harry styles, etc

Fantatic performer and great meaningful songs. Unlike several big names like McCartney or Dylan, Colin's voice gets better with age and he still sings Overkill in the key of E which is really difficult when it gets to the octave. I also really like the guitar solo he has transposed for the acoustic.

Most singers end up dropping keys over time. Sometimes even dropping the tuning down a half or whole step at this point. Not Colin. Amazing talent. I have 10 liked "Overkill" videos.
