He offered his services as a gardener through our local church in Westcliff. He then spent the day at my house doing the gardening and even had lunch with us. I chatted with him for about an hour. Later when the news came of his murders, it made me think of our conversation, when he said you wouldn't want to know some of the things I have done. This was way before his killing spree.

In Toronto, Canada a similar story happened when Bruce McArthur was charged with killing eight men, after police found remains in large planters at a property where he worked. He also was suspected of having killed more gay men.

Offcourse and ideal moment for some people to express their homophobic sentiments. (Some comments are allready deleated.) -No; being gay in the leather scene is not 'asking for being murdered '! ( As being straight in that scene isn't !) -It's a fact that murders in the 'gay-scene' ( whatever the h that is) are relatively rare. That's why they are more noticed. -The majority of LGBT+ people, frequent these somewhat 'communitary establishments ' ( gay bars etc.) during their 10s' and 20s' ( because it's easier for us to meet people withouth the risk of being beaten up !). After 30 we mostly settle down and become boring ! 😅 - Colin Ireland was NOT gay ! The myth that the biggest homophobes are gay themself is just another way to justifie homophobia ! Fed up with that one to so find a new excuse ! The death of these 5 men ; just as the death of thousands of homosexuels, killed over the last centuries ( and still being killed all over the World today !) is an unforgivable tragedy. 😢

The situation where gay men will pick up anymore willing is extremely true with straight people too. In my early 20 to mid 30s id sometimes go on nights out and end up with a girl either at my home or hers its nothing unusual. I suppose as a women your more vulnerable but i never knew if those girls were phyco and could have stabbed me!
