Beyond Crime

Күн бұрын

In 1986, Detective David Baker became the first person to use DNA profiling in a criminal investigation, when looking for the killer of two young girls.
Revealing, like never before, what it is like to be a police officer working on the most incredible and inconceivable murder cases in criminal history. A look into murder cases from the first 999 call, the investigation and then the guilty verdict.

How on Earth can they even consider paroleing a monster that rapes and murders two people? This was a serial killer in the making! Two months after being released, he returned to prison for inappropriate behavior with minors, and it's a matter of bureaucratic time before they give him the chance to get out again, it's infuriating and terrifying.

That mass blood sampling for DNA is exactly one of the ways I would love to see the taxes l pay spent on. 2-3 weeks is pretty fast in my book, especially for the times. I wonder if every time people gave blood a small amount of it couldn't be kept in a DNA blood bank for police work. Of course names, place, time and date would be attached to each sample. It's one way of building up a quickly available data base. Just a sudden thought.

@@judy-9999 Definitely true. You'll see all these posters and banners saying it's against human rights.................but it would be nice if they had some kind of DNA from everyone for research purpose

Knowing how incompetent and corrupt police are, you would have to be criminally insane to voluntarily give them a sample of the one thing in the universe that is uniquely yours.

In years to come all DNA will be linked from ancestors being tested. I know in Australia when my daughter was born they took DNA. Though that was quickly stopped with do gooders who thought it was wrong. Wrong? How can easily identifying evil people be wrong. I would be more than happy for DNA from everyone to be collected.

Why is the narrator's voice volume so low in comparison to other commentators ?? Music is intrusive at times. Sound editing please.

So then the information given by someone that this young boy had spoken about the finding of a body BEFORE the body was found was not true. Haven't listened further, but I would then have immediately seen the person who reported this information as a person of interest, as they might have deliberately been diverting attention from themselves, or they were just looking for attention. Either way, they need to be eliminated as a suspect surely? Will find out what the police thought 🤔

It is amazing how bad the English grammar is in people of authority in the UK. If I were a solicitor there reading reports from the average copper I would be having a field day. Now I don't think you should need a degree to be a policeman in the UK, but basic english like knowing the correct preposition when talking is essential if you want to be taken seriously in court. I watch many of these programs and the use of the English language by everyone from a copper to the narrator "are" horrendous. (taking the pee) It should be, "is horrendous" ."Is" his a helping verb or a verb "to be" and not a preposition. But they get these verbs wrong also. Ashamed to be English. I teach Asians these rules when they are 9 years old. Prepositions, The verb TO BE and articles. Wow. Basic English miss used by people we are supposed to look up to. .

"Is" is a helping verb not his and misused not miss used 😉 just had to be a bit of a stirrer there! I hope you know I'm not really that picky over how someone gets their point across though 😂✌️
