I can’t speak on his first 3 but of the last 4 only the Bucs game looked “easy”. Seattle threw one away, everything had to fall perfectly for the Falcons game, and zero offense was played by both teams against the Rams lol.

I always reference ELI when I talk about stats that matter. W. We look at guys chasing stats. James Harden and scoring. 🏀 Russel Westbrook and his triple doubles. On and on…but what really matters is what you do when that CHIP is on the line. And we see these STAT chasers always failing. You can even make the argument that the PATS got lured into chasing Stats that season. When the STATS are more important than the W trouble is coming.

I really think the referees are the easiest way that the NFL can not exactly outright rig games, but at least ‘influence them’ enough to achieve a goal. He was drafted in the 6th or 7th round by the Pat's. NOBODY gave him much of a chance to make it EXCEPT Biilicheck. Give Bill credit for believing in him and seeing something in TB that NOBODY else did. He put Billicheck on the map as one of the GREATEST if not the GREATEST coach ever in the NFL. I wish I could start over in life and play football and use Tom Brady words to motivate me in every way. I hope he writes books, read the audio books himself and record every speech about football he makes. His football mind, the way he kept himself engaged, and motivation is out of this world. This is probably unpopular, but my opinion is that the greatest argument against Mahomes being the best of all time is simply that Brady's numbers in a West Coast offense with Tampa were better than Mahomes' best season with a similarly talented roster. I don't know what significance this observation will have long term, but that seems like a fair measuring stick. If Mahomes has a 6k season, it will be meaningful to this debate.

First, Eli somehow escaped a near-certain sack which probably would have given the Patriots a 19-0 season. Then after the escape by Eli, the Giants receiver makes one of the most improbable “helmet” catches in NFL history. I’m a Chiefs fan who was EXTREMELY disappointed that we sports fans were denied the opportunity to witness sports history by the Patriots capping off a 19-0 season. I really wanted to see it. Now my Chiefs can make history with a first-ever NFL 3 peat. I think they’ll pull it off. We’ll see.

Even Tom never had a stretch like Mahomes has had his entire career. Mahomes has never been more than an overtime loss in the AFCCG from a Super Bowl his entire career so far. Yeah, Brady has more rings, but its over a 20+ year stretch. But even with that said, still agree with your point. Only Brady and "maybe" Montana in this case would understand. And I say that still thinking Montana is the GOAT.

Winning three in a row in the game of American Football would be one of the , if not the greatest achievement in sports history. Football is the ultimate team sport and I love it for this reason. So many variables from the players to the huge coaching staff. This is why it would be hard to the win three in a row. Just so many variables. Not to mention going the through the roller coaster the players have gone through having one two in a row already takes a lot out of the guys. Do they have enough left in the tank to win three? It remains to be seen. It would be awesome to witness such an achievement in all of sport history.

That's truth. There's a rugby league team in Australia that has won the season year after year, easily the most competitive and consistent team but their playoff conversion is 50/50 at best. Being the best team week in week out doesn't matter in the playoffs when all teams are desperate and have nothing to lose is a whole new season in itself. The teams with nothing to lose are very much dangerous, especially when you're playing a team that's put a lot of energy being the top team in the regular season with injuries and mental fatigue take it's toll✌

I wouldnt really say we live on the edge so much as we were making due with pieces we had left after injuries. We just started getting em back over the last 3 weeks and I think the evidence is clear what we should have looked like all season long. We have one of, if not the best, defense in the league and our offense is finally getting weapons back. Now that we kicked our LT's to the curb and Thuney took over our line is giving Mahomes time to make plays and he's nailing em again.

I would say, as a franchise there is a 1 in 4 chance of winning back to back super bowls, at some point in the team’s existence. It doesn’t seem as rare when I think of it that way.
