Great job on the coaches but those coaches are not there because of Rob, they’re there because of JJ. Rob just gets the credit for it just like he got the credit for AD although he’s there because of LeBron. Rob & F.O. doesn’t have the juice to wheel in Greats Elites & Stars and they’re all in denial of it. Gotta get right people in office who can wheel them in and who can make the right moves and decisions.

This same thing could be said of most franchises. Ainge didn’t get KG and Ray Allen. He got the credit though. If he was the one he would have done it sooner and more often. What has he done since? Kerr nor Myers got KD there. The players did. Did Pat Riley get Lebron and Bosh to come to Miami? You’re acting like the players haven’t been the main draw this whole time. So, here’s the question. If Lebron and now JJ are the reasons for the players and coaches have come, why have they missed out on so many??? You can’t say Rob deserves no credit but yet deserves all the blame. That makes no sense and you know that.

76ers Front office is the epitome of incompetence. At one time they had as much draft capital as the Celtics. They managed to waste almost all of it. Meanwhile the Celtics built a dynasty. Most recently the 6ers wasted precious draft capital on Buddy Hield Yet ANOTHER mistake. I have ZERO faith in the front office.
@jamesjones6315
@jamesjones6315 5 күн бұрын
This is extremely true yet everyone acts like the Lakers are the worst front office. Everyone was praising Toronto not too long ago. Where is Toronto now? Everyone was praising the Bucks leadership, what are they saying now? I remember when everyone thought the 76ers might have figured out the right process. What about now? The Warriors were being touted as the best well run franchise in the league. Myers is now gone and soon they may be too. What will be the talk then? Boston was the best front office when Ainge worked his magic twice. At this point, those 17 years have only resulted in 2 titles. In that same period the Lakers have 3. The Spurs have been one of the best run franchises according to the media since Pop arrived. What have they done since Duncan retired? The Lakers and us fans need to learn patience and perspective. Let this period pass and start over. There will always be a young talent to be drafted or a superstar wanting to play for the purple and gold. We just have to be patient until they come. No one saw Shaq and Kobe coming when they did. Nor did they see a Pau Gasol trade several years later. Sometimes things happen when you’re patient.
@SkeeterDunn
@SkeeterDunn 5 күн бұрын
@@jamesjones6315 The Celtics easily have the best front office. They didn't use the process to acquire massive draft capital like the 6ers (I have always been a 6ers fan btw) and they have used it to acquire massive talent. Take the Derrick White trade everyone said the Cs gave too much and blew it. They gave throw away players and a couple picks While I hate to pump the Cs the facts are the facts.
@jamesjones6315
@jamesjones6315 5 күн бұрын
@@SkeeterDunn Easily have the best front office yet they’ve only won 1 championship since 2008. The Lakers have been considered one of the worst run franchises yet they have won 3 championships in that same time period. I agree with the White move. Trades are subjective. It only looks like a great trade if it works out. When the Lakers traded for Pau, it looked like a huge steal. However we had no idea how good Marc would be. He was a THROW IN for that trade at the time. However he turned out to be the best acquired piece by Memphis. Trades are subjective. Perspective is also lost on most. The Lakers haven’t had as much free agency success as people keep saying. They’ve had 2 or 3 huge free agents who covered long periods of success for the franchise. However most of the Lakers successful players have come through drafts or trades. Kareem was a trade. Magic and Worthy were drafted. Kobe was a trade. Pau was a trade. Even Odom was a trade. Shaq and Artest were free agents. Lebron was a free agent. However AD was a trade. Most of the great players don’t come to the Lakers as free agents. The other thing is that guys come when they’re old as free agents. Payton and Malone were very old. Carmelo and Rondo were old. If we look at the history of the Lakers it’s not the way people like to believe it’s been.

@@jamesjones6315 The only reason I have studied the Celtics is because I'm so furious with the 6ers. Danny ainge and Brad Steven's (Gm since 2021) have outperformed Rob Pelinka (gm since 2017) by a mile. So in just 3 years Brad has done what Rob couldn't do in 7. The NBA interference with the 76ers and forcing them to hire the Colangelos is almost criminal. Your taking too big a view on the situation the Lakers front office It has been only eclipsed by the C's recently. (Ainge/Stevens)

@@SkeeterDunn So before recently the front office was great? So why weren’t we doing great trades and signing great free agents? Kobe was crying for help BEFORE Pelinka arrived obviously. Am I mistaken that Dwight turned down a contract with the Lakers to go play in Houston with Harden? Didn’t that happen. Didn’t Aldridge turn down the Lakers to go play in San Antonio? People act like free agency has gotten bad for the Lakers since Rob arrived. What was it like before him?

You cannot start Klay, Kyrie, and Luka. They are going to be the worst defense ever.

Even though the Mavs were the best defensive team after the All Star Break. Typical casual. The media looked for stupid stats against Luka that never was a thing in the past (drive by stat? Seriously). He isn’t shut down but held his own against some of the best individual players during their playoff run. Kyrie did even better than Luka. The Luka and Kyrie hate is so real!!

@MicrosoftWest
@MicrosoftWest 6 күн бұрын
@@deehollywood6013 Again, he isn’t shut down but held his own. Yes, folks will score on him just like teams score on the some of the best defenders in the league day in and day out. Facts are that the 2nd and 3rd loss the Mavs had easily could’ve been different if we actually had a consistent 3 point shooter. No one is denying Boston simply beat us, but this ridiculous notion that Luka and Dallas “terrible” defense is the sole reason is pathetic. Go back and look at the box scores and out lack of shooting was the issue, way more than the defense. The Cs or any other team couldn’t stop Luka all season.
