The coolest thing about that particular gold top is how under the stage lights you can see the flame maple through the gold when the lights hit it just right. Well..and man, what amazing tone!

Hi Colin...thanks for doing On The Couch every Tuesday... I really enjoy watching them and look forward to it... I have to admit though that the very first one that you posted was my favourite because you finished off with a song...kind of like “this is my guitar and this is how it should sound if you were to play a tune”...I hope you have a lot of guitars...lol

Gold Top Les Pauls are definitely iconic. I've owned five over the years, including my current '52 RI with P90s and the trapeze tailpiece. Not my favourite guitar to play but one of my favourites to pose with. 😁🙂😎
