I just ordered one of these, supposedly I'll be getting it in a few days. Speed isn't important as long as it can haul my 200lb butt back and forth to the grocery store that's a mile away. I'll return to this video next week and give my two cent opinion.😁👍

​@@ColinLeung The Rival scoot arrived early. It took longer to unbox and read the instructions than it took to assemble. I charged it till the green light appeared then gave it another hour. The deal I got online wasn't fantastic but I only paid $375 CDN tax included. Now for my review: The only complaint I have is my agility dealing with bumps and puddles on 8" wheels. The machine performs better than I expected but I haven't tried any hills yet. At 27 lbs it's no problem hiking up a staircase. After only a few days of use I give it 5 stars!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Would you buy a wheelspeed ws1 or a gotrax gxl v2 if they were the same price?

The gotrax and wheelspeed are both currently $300 after coupons on Amazon for Black Friday. Between the two I'd prefer the Wheelspeed because it has rear suspension, larger platform, is quieter, and feels more refined. The only drawback is that it does weigh more and is longer.

Hello, it should be okay if he's able to balance on a scooter, and has good throttle and brake control. He can ride on a lower gear to limit the max speed until he feels comfortable going faster. I advise wearing adequate protection as well (helmet, elbow and knee pads as necessary). Thanks.

Yes, that is the advertised range of how far the scooter can go. Oftentimes the actual range is less depending on rider weight, temperature, road conditions and elevation, and throttle response.

Hi. Thanks for this. I have just received an upgraded version of the GoTrax from my husband. I've read the manual but have one question: I fiddled a bit with turning on the power and looking at the display, etc.; my question is this: (it feels stupid) -- must I turn on the power button to make the scooter go -- or is it just for the display data and headlight/taillight? I would assume so, but am used to scooters that don't have a power button. Thanks.

Hello Diana, thanks for the question, and it is not stupid. The power must be turned on, and you may need to push off on the scooter at least 3mph before being able to use the thumb throttle to turn on the motor. The electric functionality will not work unless the scooter is turned on and throttle pressed. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I think there's a spring inside the throttle. You may need to open it up, and see if it's not in place.

I found this online: The GXL V2 is not 100% waterproof but it does have an IP54 waterproof rating, which means that it can withstand water spray from any direction.

TUBES will fail. the hubs are not deigned to fit the hubs. Also, don't expect a discount on any codes they don't work and I don't understand why the creators don't know this? Why are they supporting Gotrax with FALSE advertising. Creators Take your videos down until you have confirmation the code work.

Thanks for the comment. I posted the video in 2022, and don't see that I posted any discount codes, but only the price at the time of posting. I usually test promo codes when suppliers provide them, and they're usually valid until a specific date. I have dozens of videos, and cannot keep track if codes expire unfortunately.
