The Crud being the only villain truly around does make him stand out. In another other franchise he would be a low tier villain, but in the Pooh franchise he is high tier. And again Jim Cummings just loves pulling his work as these characters. Also I notice the more fantastical animals like the Heffalumps & Woozles are stuffed which adds to the fantastical nature of them. Also one animal I am surprised they haven't made come to life are Jagulars like I could imagine that could be a good opportunity to make them like a counterpart species of the Tiggers-if any others ever exist. Like maybe there could be a Jagular that is made as the only one while Tigger is the only one. Bonus points if the Jagular is a female and has a trait that contrasts with Tigger's bouncing.
@maurycyoseka1057 Жыл бұрын
The fact that Crud is the only villain in Winnie the Pooh adventures to me kinda resembles a majority of Netflix animated series that has only one and only villain like: Horde Prime from She-Ra: The Princess of Power, Emila from Kipo: The Age of Wonder beasts and The Nowhere King from Centaurworld.

The only place I’ve ever seen a soft toy as big as a person (or almost as big) would be those carnivals where you try to win a game to get plushies. So maybe that’s where those big Heffalumps came from. Come to think of it, carnivals are heavily linked with circuses, and elephants, which Heffalumps are based on, were used as circus animals traditionally. Technically, weasels in media don't have a good reputation. Despite actually looking cute in real life, like foxes, they are illustrated as creepy evil little thieves & killers of livestock and helpless woodland creatures. *The only time a weasel character was truly good was "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi", a mongoose (a cousin of the weasel) who battles snakes to defend his new home & family. Elephants on the other hand, are like hippos, they are mostly portrayed as being harmless neutral creatures, when in reality, you don't want to mess with them. *Especially wild bull (male) elephants.
@AlexNower-fu4vk10 ай бұрын
The Heffalumps are heroes more like anti-heroes cause they're nice, kind and gentle creatures as Elephants, alas if there aren’t any elephants in the Hundreds Acre Wood. Maybe Disney animators should get started on pencil testing. The Elephants I'm drawing four characters are inspiration to Babar the original series, based on by Jean and Laurent de Brunhoff, I have Alexander and his cute little sister Isabelle becoming best friends with Pooh and Piglet, Chef Truffles their daddy and Flora their mommy happily love to bake and cook and spend a lovely wonderful evening together. I could realize about a beautiful big house they have would be inspired to Pooh Corner situated at Ashdown Forest , East Sussex in Hartfield with a cool gift shop, restaurant and museum from the world's famous creation by A.A. Milne who wrote in these story books about the forest was just like the Hundred Acre Wood, as the stories came to life on a very short walk along way from home.

11:50 With the handsome male and beautiful female dancing Heffalumps are both proud to love honey with Pooh. In afterwards I thought I recall that correctly, where the happy Hefflaumps and Woozles would greatly like to honor Pooh for some fun, similarly different within his dream they'll probably name it a "Honey Celebration", two trumpeter leaders will have Tuba Heffalump and Bandleader fife-nosed Woozle shall lead the parade with group of elephant and weasel-like characters here to sing and dance, with a marching band to collect some honey pots together (even for one thing four singing honey pots: the brown, green, blue and black ones haven't done it before the original short film in 1968 and the walking honey pot), it's not bad dream just only a wonderful amazing one in where everything is interested to the personal dreams.

Another great look into villainy. Like you said, Winnie the Pooh didn't need villains but I'm glad they delved into having some. In all honesty I think Pooh's villain is depression and how the cast fight it. Kanga, Roo, Owl and Pooh seem to be in good spirits or not let it get to them too long. Eeyore suffers it the most but Rabbit (losing Kessie, protecting his garden, and dealing with Pooh), Piglet (being constantly fearful), and Tigger (a whole movie wondering if he had a family) have had moments. Christopher Robin asking Pooh if he would remember him as he got older at the end of one movie always stuck with me. Anyway I remember the nightmare sequence and the New Adventure villains barely. Syndication helps. Looking forward to the next video, sir.

I always found the Backson number to be surprisingly kind of intense - it sort of escalates in the same way that Mob Song does, although without the manipulation factor where they're clearly being misled by a malignant agitator with a bruised ego, but it still shows that even the 100 Acre Wood residents are capable of scapegoating and laying all of their problems and deep seated insecurities at the feet of the nondescript "other." I was never really that creeped out by the Heffalumps or Woozles in the song. ... what DID creep me out immensely, however, was that damn honeypot! You know the one, at 5:03! The fact that it doesn't look like a big cartoony plush toy like the others, with it's long lanky legs, but also it's freaking demented laughter when one of the heffalumps removes its lid for a few moments, complete with an echo to make it sound extra non-human. The fact that it doesn't have a face either just adds to the uncanny nature of it, and it stands out compared to the rest of the song. I swear, as a kid, it was the part where the eldritch hunny-pot would let out its gleeful echoing *"EHUYAHUYAHYA-EHEEHEEHEEHYAA-HYEEEAHAHAH!!!"* that gave me nightmares.

I always thought how fun it must have been for the animators to get creative with the concept of heffalumps and woozles, especially for the transformation scenes. Instruments in place of snouts/trunks would seem odd at first but work so well for a cartoony setting! Also would like to add that many of the occurances that take place during Pooh's nightmare also reflect to what occurred throughout the beginning of the film. Climbing up the rope of the Woozle was the honey tree, and the Heffalump (who had a popgun as a trunk) was a figuration of Pooh who had tried to protect his honey the same way early on

In my opinion, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh was Timon and Pumbaa before Timon and Pumbaa. Both shows have writing that feels very odd and bizarre (almost reaching the point of non-canon) compared to the original Disney movies. That way, for instance, Heff and Stan can be compared with Quint; the Crud episode, "Cleanliness is Next to Impossible", is in par with "Beetle Romania"; and it's valid to pair up the episodes "Three Little Piglets" and "Wide-Awake in Wonderland".
@AlexNower-fu4vk10 ай бұрын
Wooster is a gigantic Woozle and he's not a villain anymore. Maybe Heff Heffalump should change and reform too (he must get rid of this black vest and change it into a white shirt will be better) along with Wooster, so the two can be best buddies with their wonderful little best buddy Pooh too, Heff would gladly give the Silly Old Bear a big hug while slopping up some honey pots for him can make him funny cause he loves him. Heff would love with Wooster in his cave even it's gonna a like a house has plenty of room to sleep here, just like when Stan treated him by pulling his trunk come along they’re hire the gigantic Woozle to steal some honey from Pooh on episode "The Great Honey Pot Robbery", with a change of pair characters I could say Heff Heffalump and Wooster instead of Stan Woozle he could be an ex-partner as he asked for the last time he could steal honey all by himself, but Heff won't let him do it he'll Pooh's honey for him. Here's a similar caption scene like on art drawing: Part 1. With a big honey pot safe by Pooh, Heff and Wooster coming for a quick rescue later Pooh climb on top of the big honey pot he took a yummy piece and then fell in covered in honey all over him. Part 2. Heff loves being remain stuck in a honey tree with Pooh as he hold him, they laugh, chuckle and giggle some sticky stuff dipping all over them was very sweet to eat. Part 3. As he place some honey pots on his head for him with a funniest moment, he loves giving him a big warm hug by wrapping his arms around his tummy and his trunk around his head, will make him comfy full of more Rumbly Tumblies.

I always wanted to know when they were first originally drawn by Disney before 1968 and was Walt Disney still alive when the concept art and storyboard were made of the Heffalumps and Woozles before his death in December 1966, and who was the guy who did the original drawings and concept art and prototypes before the record came out a year before the short film came out. And who were the people who did the animation for all the Heffalumps and Woozles. All I know was that Wolfgang Rytherman was a part of it since his nickname Wollie was shown on a model sheet of them. And what would have Walt Disney thought if he did see them.

Pooh’s Grand Adventure is indeed somber and a massive tearjerker. “Wherever You Are” deserves to be in the discussion of best Disney songs. And the Skullasaurus had some effective scenes like when they emerge from the forest and look back to hear it growling in the distance.

@Rubberman2022 жыл бұрын
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, probably my favorite Disney movie, it always gets a laugh out of me even now. The Winnie the Pooh franchise as a whole was a huge part of my childhood, and the stories still manage to be endearing to this day. The original movie, which was just taking three separately made shorts and putting them together into one feature, is technically one of those antagonist-less movies, just a series of unusual adventures of Pooh Bear and his friends. That said, I'd argue the closest the movie gets to a *potential* bad guy is Rabbit in the Tigger segment. Rabbit's portrayed as a bit of a stuffy stick-in-the-mud before this, but is otherwise a fairly nice guy, and even if he is annoyed with Tigger's bouncing, deliberately losing him in the woods in order to traumatize him enough to make him stop bouncing feels like overkill. Still, Rabbit ends up playing himself as he's the one who ends up getting lost while Tigger knew where he was the whole time. Even after that, though, he's completely unsympathetic and even happy that Tigger is stuck up a tree, because "he can't bounce anyone up there", and even asks if they really have to rescue him when Christopher Robin suggests it. This complete lack of sympathy towards Tigger REALLY paints Rabbit in a negative light... I don't know if it's the level of outright villainy, though, since it feels like Rabbit is oblivious to his jerky behavior, and it doesn't take much for him to back down from forcing Tigger to keep his word and never bounce again. Tigger is at least nice enough not to hold any of this against Rabbit, even encouraging him to bounce along with him, which Rabbit actually enjoys. Other than that, though, there aren't any villains in the movie proper... Or at least, not ones that were villains within the movie itself. Really, I think it's kind of funny how Heffalumps and Woozles, originally just made-up creatures that Tigger seemingly creates by mispronouncing Elephants and Weasels, would end up becoming actual creatures within the Disney Winnie the Pooh franchise. The movie itself just has a nightmare sequence where Pooh dreams about the Heffalumps and Woozles taking his "hunny", but it seems like all the TV shows (particularly The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh), movies and video games took the concept of malicious honey-stealing stuffed elephants and weasels and ran with it. Weird thing is, though, while there WERE antagonistic Heffalumps and Woozles like Stan and Heff, from what I recall, there were also several friendly ones too, like the Heffalump family from The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Lumpy from Pooh's Heffalump Movie. Even Wooster, a giant Woozle who starts out bad, is easily turned nice once he realizes he can get honey if he just asked for it politely. I think it's a good thing that, after establishing that Heffalumps and Woozles were real, made it a point to say that not all of them are bad; given the target audience for Winnie the Pooh, it's a good message to have, showing that not all members of a certain group are terrible, and not to assume the worst because of them being part of that group. Still, that doesn't stop Disney from piling on the nightmare fuel with them whenever possible.

Colin Himself was more on Rabbits side seen with his Springtime with Roo review. Interestly this Rabbit is MUCH nicer than his book counterpart Adaptational Nice Guy: Disney's Rabbit, while still a grouchy egomaniac, is far more prone to openly soft or humble moments than his novel counterpart. Adaptational Sympathy: Disney's Rabbit is still often a grumpy vindictive jerk, but much more of a Butt-Monkey as a result of the others' bungling, making his lashing out seem more justified. He also tends to repent a lot more often following his crueller moments. Maybe after Tigger Too the writers decided to never make Rabbit be that big of a jerk again and any more of unboucing Tigger is limited to how many he can do a day , and in Tigger Movie , Tigger promises to watch where he bounces. Rabbit in all honesty comes off as less saditic Squidward as both are butt monkeys that put up with the characters Pooh , Piglet and Tigger , Spongebob and Patrick . Squidward however goes a bit too far and as enjoyed Spongebob and Patrick beign in pain even the pre movie seasons like happily imaging them getting lost in the woods forever. Rabbit on the other hand never shows any sadism towards Pooh and Tigger and at the very leaste was going to find Tigger in the woods after debouceing him .

Honestly, I kind of sympathize with Rabbit. Tigger was sort of a jerk, ruining all his hard work on his garden and never apologizing. In The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger is really annoying since the writers apparently thought it would be hilarious for Tigger to be responsible for everyone's problems (like in the Crud episode this video described) and never get any comeuppance for it.

I recently got the first two graphic novels known as "The Aristokittens" (no relation to the Gold Key comics of the same name). The first two books "Welcome to the Creature Cafe" and "The Great Biscuit Bake-off!" came out earlier this Spring with the third arriving this Fall. If I find anything related to Edgar, it could be helpful for that video. So far he's only mentioned in book 1, but I seriously love the series.

forgot pooh had a smart moment actually correcting tigger about elephants and weasels. like how the heffalumps and woozles sequence was basically a g rated pink elephants(also if they directly messed with dumbo & timothy/glad i'm not the only one that got creeped out by the dancing couple.),got a bit more goofy beagle boys with stan and heff/definitely satam robotnik with crud just without sonic to help or the really dark elements and with how a friendly heffalump showed up(loved seeing lumpy & gopher in kh.:3) that'd be a cool concept to try that with a woozle. kinda would say at times the bees got close to being villains with how they actively aim for christopher robin during the chase/pooh when he gets caught on a log in the honey tree (especially in new adventures where they grin getting ready to sting the gang before getting door slammed by gopher/piglet's big movie with them aiming for piglet saying "get the little guy".) though still laugh in piglet's big movie a huge swarm of them having enough chase pooh and friends but when they go after eeyore after getting door slammed again he shows up with a single sting.

I feel that the biggest missed opportunity of the Christopher Robin movie was that the Hundred Acre Wood scenes should have been 2-d animated in the style of either the 1977 movie or the 2011 movie, with the rest of the movie being live-action kinda like the movie Enchanted. At least that way, you could have had the best of both worlds both literally and figuratively.
