People who decided to shorten highlights from ten to four minutes are idiots. Instead of populizing squash and providing people more material they decided to give us crumbs by posting extremely short videos thus keeping it in a closed bubble for only a bunch of us. I am never going to pay to see the full match.

I wouldn't say they're idiots, but I disagree with the decision.

Agree with the highlights being too short. Preferred the previous longer edits

Momen's accuracy on the backhand volley is probably the most precise in the history of squash.

Apart from Ramy's backhand overhead crosscourt drop shot dead rolling nick that he played time and again

His front left volley is deadly and very reliable.

Momen has some of the best flicks of the top players. That 3:02 redirection is brilliant and movement sapping.

That fall at 2:30 was one of probably a dozen Coll had in the front right in this match. It was scary. I didn't want to judge at first, but between the court issues at the Egyptian Open and the weird way this court is playing, I'm getting pretty skeptical about this new court technology.
@RodrigoCampos-t1nАй бұрын
I really like Momen's style of playing! Its a game plan every one can use. Its not based on super heavy hittings, not based on volley every ball (dont have to be that tall), not based on superman phisic. Its balanced, forces the oponent to go to many dirictions, lot of them against the run, and goes for an 'almost rolling nick ball' very often (many of then volleying). The almost its important because raises the probability of sucess but its very far from being a conitnuity ball. Its clever, its fast, its precise and a clean style (no blocking envolved). Huge fan over here!

I agree, and he seems to have added a kill shot here and there to his repertoire as well. Shame that we don't see him very often ending in the top spots anymore.

Poorly edited highlights. Only showing Momen points and barely anything of Coll. More even share of point winning shots would be nice 👍🏻
@RodrigoCampos-t1nАй бұрын
Highlights man! Coll is all about consitency. Momen's 1:45 shot was a beauty! Very dificult to do! Btw, Coll and Farag save way too many "kills". Its a nightmare to any oponent.

The better player lost. Very inconsistent umpiring which Coll took full advantage of.
@georgekrumm1857Ай бұрын
I watched the whole match and the decisions were not the determining factor. Coll won the third game decisively, for one thing. A few calls are always inconsistent, but Momen also was making some odd requests on minor interference and getting in his own head about the decisions, which he has a habit of doing.
@remcovandijk279Ай бұрын
Can't say much about inconsistent umpiring, but in general I think that the let and stroke calls have become a really bad part of the professional game. No lets given because the ball being 'too tight' or 'too good', and strokes when the player is not even near the ball. If it stays like this, the 2028 Olympics will be a total disaster with the non-squashing audience having no clue why certain decisions are made. Or any.
