Collage Journal Update

Hi everyone,
I have been spending quite a bit of time working in two different journals and sharing some of my progress on my Instagram page, so I wanted to take some time to share with you what I've been up to.

Wonderful video as usual. I'm not sure if I ever told you but you have had such a positive impact on my collage journey. You were one of the first channels I found when I wanted to try with just one magazine, some blunt household scissors and a glue stick. That was 2015. I've learned a lot, matured, gained my footing in my art but I always come back to your videos. Thank you ❤

Dianne, your collages are gorgeous! And I love hearing about your creative process! A little advice about starting writing (coming from a lifelong writer, who uses journaling as therapy and has done workshops for trauma victims on the topic), start with a cheap notebook and do "brain dumps." Time yourself in a way that is realistic to you (I do 25 min but that's kind of a lot!) And try it everyday for 30 days... Then go back and find the things you find profound or meaningful and add those to your art. And when it comes to people reading it, I have one major rule in my house and that is NO ONE TOUCHES MY COMP BOOK! My husband is well aware that I will leave him if he betrays my trust like that... And I definitely would leave him! Those thoughts are mine and the words I write are what keep me sane. Barb Owen will black out negative pages she writes which is another idea when it comes to prying eyes... But trust me, writing is one of the most healing forms of therapy is writing. Your images are gorgeous! 😍😍
