I used to train in a different dog sport 10+ years ago and it was commonly taught to keep putting on and taking off the ecollar on for a month or so before using the stim. The thought was you dont want them to know where it was coming from. Do you see any benefit to that or is the dog smart enough to know where the stim is coming from?

After collar training do you always use the collar? My dog listens to my commands 8out 10 times so I use it when he decides not to listen but should I always use it?

Gotta disagree on one thing, a lot of dogs feel level 10 on a dogtra 1900s. I’ve seen dogs that are collar conditioned and will respond with a behavior any time they feel the stim, and they will react at levels lower than 10 consistently. Once the dog is ear twitching or neck cranking, the level is already too high for “low level collar conditioning.” Make the collar stim a behavior command like down on a super low level and test it for yourself. They feel levels way lower than you might think.
