I'm sure this is good, but it all looks too gray to be appetizing to me, so I would probably brown the pork chops first before putting them in the oven and saute the apples and onions on the stove top as well.

My grandmother did this recipe, she had Apple trees, raised her own hogs,had a beautiful garden I helped her weed it, so she had onions, and dried her herbs., for winter, what herbs did you say you used???

I make similar pork chops and we think they’re yummy. I have not chopped my apples and onions so fine as you did but yours looks like a good idea, almost like a relish. I sometimes add a splash of apple cider vinegar and a sprinkle of Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning in place of herbs. Thanks for sharing your recipes!

I think some apple cider vinegar would be a great ingredient to add to this recipe it really seems like it would incorporate well. I love the fact that this is a recipe from a 1927 cookbook.

I make a very similar recipe, except I brown the pork chops on the stove top first, then remove them from the pan. I slice the apples and onion into about 1/8-inch slices and sauté them with a little sage in the pan where the pork chops were until they have a little color and are done, but not soft. Then I deglaze the pan with chicken stock and a little mustard, and return the pork chops and any juice to the pan until the chops are hot.

I like this recipe and I’m looking forward to making it. I am going to change 2 steps I will sear the chops first and use a pork gravy packet for the gravy.

thankyou. it is good that you are teaching the young ones how to cook from scratch. When I was young and newly married we had no choice but to cook from scratch and I am so blessed that it was the way it was. However YOU look too young to know what I mean. truely.... blessings.

Looks really yummy....we don't like alot of onions, though I cook with onions, it seems too much to top with, but perhaps the herbs cut that strong onion taste. Which combined herbs did you mix in it? I missed it somewhere...I love watching all the yummy types of food you make. Love watching your channel...Happy New Year and God Bless you both!

I have to try this recipe for my family. The apple and gravy sort of sound like a chutney. We love chutney. I always have to have pork chops and applesauce together. This would be a great combination. I love the fact that this is a recipe from a 1927 cookbook.

I would serve the apple onion relish/sauce in a side dish and use a separate boat for the gravy so people can add as they please mostly because I love the looks and taste of a well browned pork chop and those ones looked A+. ❤

Thank you❤ So, it's basically salt, pepper, and onion powder? You suggest omitting the parsley? And adding chicken bullion granules to the gravy?

I woild use packet gravy so it would look more appealing inside of a gray color. Sounds really good with apples.
@K4familySnoeberger4 күн бұрын
I am sorry to say that I would never use a packet gravy. The best gravy is always natural gravy that comes from your drippings.I love the fact that this is a recipe from a 1927 cookbook.

✍Hello Tammy ,Chris, and fur babies 🐾🐾🐾 My mother-in-law used to make a pork chop and apples similar recipe, but no onions cause she didn't like onions but we love onions. I've never been able to duplicate her recipe but would love to be able cause my oldest daughter loved her grandma's *pork chops and apples* She would some how use *Shake and Bake* for pork, bread her chops and would use apple pie filling and spread it around the chops and bake them. I've never quite been able to make the chops turn out like hers...They were always delicious. Thanks for sharing. Good Night😴 God Bless LuvYa! Bye from NE Ohio🌹

Your product sales are blocking out your face and part of your reason for a video.. NOT PUSHING PRODUCT !!!!
