2 Car garage! it's summer of 1987, and you live in Miami, and life is good. You are running a successful business importing flour from South America. Business is so good that money is not a concern, however space is. You only have room for 2 cars. One must be able to carry 3 of your business associates and the relevant equipment needed in the flour selling business. The other car must be something rare, something exotic, something that won't be outshined by anything when you park in front of the nightclub. Both cars should have a correct image for a successful flour importer and distributor. Love the podcast, a nice little Friday treat!

I really hope Manish gets this 456. I am an admirer of these cars too. Was very tempted once but rather boringly paid a lump off the mortgage instead. Sleeping in cars: A 1980s Fiat Panda. The back seat was just a couple of poles with a piece of cloth between them suspended in the back. Unhook the back seat and lay it down to sleep on. So many times, when I was a student, I went out to the pub and had a skin full and slept in that car in the college car park.

As a 50-year-old woman who likes to drive and look sensual at the same time, the classic has to be Italian, no other possibility, although the Z8 is a very good option...

Hydraulic built in jacks was quite common on premium 1920's/30's cars. Rolls Royce Phantom 111 for example. Agree on the topic of steel vs alloy wheels....given the current manufacturer obsession with weight saving to reduce co2 rating....unlikely to happen. Sorry to be a pedant Neil, but the sale of former Bristol assets, was at the iconic BOC building in Windlesham, (designed to resemble an Oxygen molecule), NOT at Bristol's factory. This building and its grounds now belong to GMA who have built the new factory in the grounds nearer the motorway.

Coincidentally last night was the movie premiere in Hagerstown, Indiana of the movie documentary about him. One of the guys that works for me went to it. One of the red race cars that I see at Goodwood has a black oval decal fixed to the side for perfect circle piston rings. That was the company that he founded. 55:39 Haas is currently in front of Williams, Sauber(Kick) and Renault(Alpine). In 2018 they finnished 5th. and if it hadn't been for the catastrophic first race in Melbourne that saw both cars leave the pit with loose wheels - forcing both cars to DNF. And Grosjeans shenaningans, they would have ended 4th. Best-of-the-rest. I remember when Magnussen switched from Renault to Haas in 2017. A Danish journalist had asked the other teams about Guenther Steiner. Apparently he was seeen as a bit of a clown. I think Guenther should be respected for establishing Haas F1 Racing, more than running Haas F1 Racing. Komatsu seems to be a better team leader but I don't think he would be able to create a new F1 team like Guenther did. Yes Haas is composed of mainly Ferrari bits. While this may not be a good thing on its own. I certaintly commend Guenther for finding a loophole in the regulations and running with it.
