I love collecting poppy seeds 😊. I sprinkle them in drifts on my garden.

Thank you for another great video. In my effort to clean up I've just composted my Borage and goodness knows what else. So you have saved me from myself. Thank you again👒😁

Thank you Kathryn - wonderful advice. I started collecting seeds not long after I moved to this property 2 1/2 years ago. There is a stand of Nigella that grows out of the gravel at the edge of our drive and self seeds every year. I collected some seed earlier this year and scattered them around my back garden beds. Also - after I had dug the new garden beds for my cut flower garden this past autumn I scattered 2 packets of poppy seeds that I bought in the spice section of the supermarket. I must have had a great germination rate as now my beds are full of the most beautiful mauve poppies - but it's the pods I'm growing them for. I think they look fantastic in bouquets. I also collected (and have re-sown) hundreds of sweet-pea seeds - which have been growing since autumn and are now about to flower. Have also collected Marigold, Petunia, Zinnia, and seed from a pretty white daisy which I bought from a market with no plant identification. I have tried the 'winter sowing' method this year with a lot of seeds and have had pretty good success. I just sowed them in 3l milk bottles. In fact I planted out the first lot yesterday - the 'Black Knight' scabiosa which grew so well in the milk bottle they were almost coming out the top. Thanks once again.

Absolutely perfect Jacinta- I don’t think the seed companies will be doing any sales from you ! Good for you sowing so much for Autumn 🍂- it’s the best time for sure!

I started collecting marigold short yellow and crackerjack marigolds, as well as, mixed Zinnia's. Four O'clocks and Sunflowers too! And many climbers in the morning glory family. I'm moving as soon as I find some acreage!! Gotta learn the new flowers seed collection you showed! Thanks so much! Cosmos, several types and tithonia rotundifolia, I'm learning a lot

Lovely thank you for the advice . I’ve collected some crocosmia seeds, although they take a few years to come to be large enough to flower. Forget me nots I let them self seed earlier in the year and they are growing nicely.

Ooh crocosmia that sounds brilliant Hannah - I confess I am pulling out the forget me nots from some beds - they can take over!!
