Yeah originally all I had was a Xbox series S for the generation but bought a Nintendo Switch lite, then went for the OLED models.. great handheld console for sure 🔥

Switch collecting can be fun. One of the major drawbacks for me was the red spines like you mentioned. I found there is a market for custom switch spines on etsy and after purchasing all the artwork I needed it really transformed my collection.

Sorry to disagree but to me the unified red spines are what makes the collecting so much fun, they look great in the shelf like they are. Just sad that ESRB titles are not centered on the spine like they are on PEGI versions. Btw, there are some countries that also are allowed to print logos on the spines, like Australia i think.

My friends find it ironic that while I have a PS5 my game library for this current generation has been massively Switch games. Despite what some say the game library for the Switch is amazing and yes while you do push the ability of mobile gaming opposed to 4/8K graphical fidelity games many of those cross consoles games play well on the Switch as they do on the PS5/XBSX. Like with Hogwarts Legacy while graphically the Switch version is obviously less then the PS5/XBSX I have just as much fun playing that version as I do the previously mentioned ones. Also while the Switch game Cartridge holds less space then the PS5/XBSX game discs it's definitely more durable then the disc copy.

Check out Red Art Games! They are one of my favorite indie physical publishers. All of their games are like $35 or less (most of the time) and they have some absolute bangers in their catalogue. Neurovoider, Metalloid Origin, Gravity Circuit and many more. They also aren't afraid to delay games so that they have better builds on the cartridge and are more complete.

Collecting for Switch games definitely brings me back nostalgia since alot of them can have either reverse artwork, posters, stickers, limited editions, and instruction manuals like the good ole days.. there definitely fun to collect & find good deals since switch games hold value longer imo..

i got a ps5 too because of the 30th anniversity discount sales, i bought lots of discounted games, controllers and even the vr headset. i have over 100 switch games too

Hmm ps3 is still my primary focus for 2025 although i might get a little action on ps4 and ps5. ps1 and ps2 it is still more or less what opportunity i would find but i wont be as hardwired 24/7 as i was this year.
