Came upon this video and it reminds me of the time I received my results 15 years ago. 😳 I didn’t do very well, I got D7 for my English. Courses are limited for me because of that. But hey, so what. I still finished my poly, got my degree and masters as well. So to all those who just gotten their results and don’t feel very good about it. Don’t give up, keep on working hard. Everyone progresses at different speed. Slow and steady, eventually you will still get to where you wanna go. Jiayou! 💪 Ps: just wanna clarify, I did retake my English o’level after poly while I was working and gaining some experiences before entering uni. Got a B3 for it. So never ever give up ladies and gents.

Fast forward 10 years later, I graduated from a local university with both Masters and Bachelors at the same time, and got into a big tech company as my first job along with teaching at my university as a part time lecturer. Oh. For math did you finish every question or u gave up? Are the markers strict? Issok. I was supposed to take O's in 2022 but was sick so taking it in 2023 🥲 I don't have any expectations except to pass all my subjects and get into a poly lol 😆
@applelah2 жыл бұрын
last year, I failed my eae so I got real stressed out, the course I wanted had a cutoff of 11 l1r4, although I had 10 for my prelim, I knew I would not do as well for my os as I had performed extremely well(not my standard). Then during the period of os, I had a mental break down during math paper2, as I had messed up paper 1 alr, and I was a straight A1 for math for all test/exams. So the stress I put on myself was breaking me down. For the rest of the papers were okay, no breakdowns etc. Then after the end of os, sudden breakdowns every now and then for the next few months. Until they release the date of result releasing. Dreaded the day, went to help my mum out with work, then the day came. i went to school and saw my best friend so we talked and all, the principal talked abt every subjects' overall stats and finally the results were given out. Teachers just give us like flyers sial, then me and my bestie uncovered our subject and result one by one. Was so happy to receive b3 for english(as a border pass student), then broke down for getting a b3 for math. Overall I did not as bad, missed my course's cut off point by 2(from my maths) and improved for the rest of the subjects. Now I got my posting results, am going to np cbp:D

😆Too cute... end up watched till the end 😂Glad U made it to Ur expectation. My results back then were far worse than Urs. D7 for both Sciences & English. Couldn't go to Biz, Engineering or Media courses. There weren't such things as EAE, only 13 choices of courses, which i filled up all but only got my 13th choice, which was as good as no choice😅 but so many years later, here i am still alive and well survived!! Results only show how well we performed during the examination period, but they don't prove who we are and where we'll be in the future. I could see so many good & possible things in U than Ur results. So, no matter how bad the time may be, what U do or where U'll be in the future, never lose hope and never give up ok?! hello i know u nv ask me lah but im the fella in the vid tak kena 6 a’s i got an l1r5 of raw 8 i just wanted share some shit the way you study is really entirely based on how you work, like for me i kept cycling between a full tryhard mode and burn out throughout sec4 (last yr) and for olvls i got myself into a sort of “camp” situation where i got into a rhythm and thats what rly helped me do well, i sort of rewired my brain into knowing to be productive at an exact time, to rest at exact times, shit like that, and that helped me a fuck ton more than brute forcing and trying to cram everything, but that could be just how i work, honestly your study method entirely depends on you, but i think universally practise means perfect, especially for more routine-based subjects like your sciences and maths, i say “routine-based” because in those subjects, there are questions where you will recognise, and immediately know how to do it, and guarantee those marks, practice for these subjects mean the world because it gives me you experience, but always rmb that quality is more than quantity, don’t do many many papers expecting to ace it, you should do 1 paper, mark it yourself, then redo it, mark, and repeat until u get a really good score for that paper, that ensures you can score marks for similar questions that showed up in the paper, quality always beats quantity. for languages like mother tongue and english, papers will help but the factual best way to learn a language is just to surround yourself with it, speak proper english for a while, doesnt have to be months just a few weeks before could help, again, it helps rewire your brain sort of. everything i said here is purely based off personal experience and non of it had any scientific research to it, so take it with a grain of salt, and rmb ah that the way to study is entirely varying from person to person, don’t be discouraged if what i said here doesn’t work you, you might study in a different way from me. all the best for all your exams my g 👍

heyy congratss on your resultss 👏👏 anyww can i ask if my eae into nyp pharmeceutical sci is successful and then the cut off point for that course is 10 (according to the website and idk if it also uses raw or nett point) but i got a 20 raw and met the entry requirement (< 26 points and relevant grades) will i still get accepted into poly? and if there's another case where my eae isn't successful, i have to do jae like everyone else and that means i wont get into the course right?

hi and tysm! cut off points on websites are nett points from last years jae students fyi. for ur case ur eae should be successful as the cop doesnt matter for eae, as long as u get

how did you jump from a C5 to an A1 for lit? could you please share some tips?
@bobodoh2 жыл бұрын
to be fair my lit teacher was really strict with her marking whereas cambridge markers should be more lenient hence the huge jump but what i did that helped me a lot was to discuss analysis/essay questions with my friends so we could help each other improve and coincidentally whatever we discussed came out for paper so we were really lucky hahah just familiarise yourself with the text, answering techniques, quotes and you should be good to go!

Hi, just wondering for eae anyone can share with me the process of it and what u need to prepare and send and also if it’s actually easy to get into eae or is the chances slim?
@bobodoh2 жыл бұрын
there are a couple of videos out there that explains the whole process but to sum it up u will have to do a 600 and 1000 character write up and depending on the course they might ask for a portfolio or more documents as well. if ur write up is good u will proceed to the interview stage and if you pass, u will receive an email to either accept or withdraw from the offer. i cant say that eae would be easy to get in or 100% secure u a spot as it will be a diff experience for everyone but as long as you can showcase your passion and abilities through the interviews you should be fine! also try to eae into more than 1 course just incase ur first choice doesnt accept you (which was what happened to me so luckily i had my 2nd choice to back me up) overall just make sure to put in a lot of effort into ur write ups/portfolio/interview

@@bobodoh i see thx cuz my friend said that it’s best to stick to 1 choice as they will do background check and if u fill a lot courses they may think u don’t have a lot passion for the course and lower the chances of ur acceptance
@bobodoh2 жыл бұрын
@@tansijiesherlynphoebe6448 that is true that they might check your rankings but as long as u are able to explain the situation and showcase your passion strongly it shouldn't be a problem! having more than one choice gives u a safety net if any case ure rejected from your first choice :)

My o lvls ends in like 7 days. Hopefully my reaction is like yours when i get my results back🗿

Your jc L1R5 is not shown because u have exceeded 20. If L1R5 is shown it would be 22 which is >20( cannot go into jc). That's why its is not shown

I am also a sec 4 student, but I am flunking up all my results now. I have dropped AMath and Higher Mother Tongue(I have the exact same combination as you except for that I am taking combined science). I took my Mother Tongue O Level last year and got A1 for it. I am intending to go to SP too, but I don't know what I can do now because I am just scoring like 26 raw for my mid-year and I am now so panicked for my prelims. There are about three months left to O Levels, could anyone advise me what to do?
@winnieteo98762 жыл бұрын
I am feeling very discouraged and unmotivated. The only thing that I am looking forward to now is the long break after O Levels.:(
