Getting Twin Star Exorcist and Seraph of the End for a dollar each is crazy. The book sales I go too usually don’t have manga and if they do it’s some obscure title i’ve never heard about.

yes! so lucky i was able to find deals, i went in with no expectations tbh but there were those old obscure volumes as well lol i went back after a couple days and those were all that were left in the manga section

i’m excited to get back into it! i read the first volume yesterday and it’s just as ridiculous as i remembered lol (to my knowledge it’s mostly the later volumes that are kind of impossible to find unfortunately)

I need to get organized where I can film 🎞 the way you do when stuff comes in. I like it yet my phone is so cluttered ugh maybe next year I can do it.

I’m so excited because it’s my birthday on Friday and I found a couple stores that sell ‘used manga’ but they’re all really good quality! A birthday is a great excuse to spend mass amounts of money on manga- lol Also I absolutely love your videos! Not only are they amazing and we have very similar tastes it also helps me discover new manga and series that are really interesting! So thank you for that!! :D

Highly recommend reading Yotsuba similar to Monthly Girls. One volume at a time whenever you feel down and the brilliance of the writing and premise will show. You can binge it, but I find this series needs to "breath" when reading. AMAZING DEAL though. So jealous hahaha

i see 👁 i will keep that in mind, i've read the first 2 volumes so far and they were adorable, those cheap volumes i got aren't in the best shape but i can't complain lol (thank you for pushing the series though, you're the first person i thought of when i saw it sitting there)

it is so odd since the first like 4 volumes of blue period were so slow to release, they are definitely playing catch up but i am not complaining lol i'm excited to keep reading since i loved the first arc so much

The UK recently had a restock of Yowamushi Pedal and I actually managed to pick up volumes 2-21 which I am so happy about - definitely influenced by you but I started the anime/decided to read some of the scans and got low-key obsessed

Yeah, we've had a lot of yen press restocks recently. Usually the UK tends to be behind the US but it's nice seeing things come back in stock again

@@anab0lic a mix of Blackwells, Waterstones and Forbidden Planet - Waterstones was retail but if you're a student there's 10% off online - still definitely breaks the bank, but it's not scalper prices 😊

thank you! and i have a really old video about my favorite places to buy manga but i probably should do an updated one since i really only use like 4 retailers,, i don’t buy a lot of figures though, i’ve only used crunchyroll and goodsmile even though there are cheaper and better places out there i just use what i am familiar with

Also Seraph is pretty good it’s has some REALLY high highs but it can be annoying because the lows but it’s still pretty good, also I agree heavily with Blue Tempest since Twin Star is my 5th favorite manga all time I love it so much

I loved Cherry Magic! I’m not sure how I feel about the new arc in Blue Period, I’ve read up until the current available volume and I’m not sure I’ll keep collecting it. Another lovely video - I always enjoy seeing the series you read since I feel my reading taste is similar.

thank you! glad you enjoyed :) and interesting about blue period, i thought the ending of volume 6 was so strong that i would have been happy with the series ending there altogether so i’m eager to continue but i won’t be super sad if it never tops the first arc (i have the same feelings about beastars, the quality has declined going into the ending but i love the series so much that i’m fine with it)

I feel the pain of how slow Yen Press is with Yowamushi pedal releases. I love how they always nab amazing licenses but wish they would improve on slow release schedules

yes TT i am happy with the quality of the release though so if they need to take their time with it i understand but it is a bit frustrating when they pump out some of their other series like hanako once, even twice a month sometimes (dependent on popularity i know so i'm banking on the new anime season MAYBE giving them a push)

I'm reading a manga that im obsessed with, it's called Mieruko chan, is on volume 5 or 6 in English and in Japan is on volume 8, I'm really enjoying this manga but I never saw anyone talking about it, could you read the fist two volumes to give it a try? You may think the first chapter is boring but it gets REALLY GOOD!
