New York New York is one of my favorite BL manga. It's actually not explicit since iirc, we never see the couple sleep together in a "everything is shown" way. In general, the manga deals more about homophobia, acceptance, what do their families think but also hiv/aids than what's going on in bed. Since one of the main characters is a policeman, crime is a big thing too. The manga has a good chunk of drama and the policeman mc can be a jerk but he gets better later. And since it's from the 90's, the guys aren't looking like today's bishonen in BL but I find the art style charming.

If you like Descending Stories I highly recommend checking out Akane-banashi when the physical volumes start coming out starting in August.

yes!! really excited i was finally able to complete my set,, and that was my initial drawback to apothecary diaries in volume 1 (the episodic nature) but volume 2 was so good i just have to continue

What volumes of Nana are you still waiting on?? B&N canceled my vol. 12 order and now I can't find it anywhere and it was the last one I needed! You feeling the volume 12 pain too?

volumes 11 and 12! i ordered them from rightstuf so just waiting for them to send them to me but dang :/ maybe the reprint for that volume got pushed back? that was happening to me a lot when the reprints first started rolling out … the amount of delay and cancellations i got was 💀

Comic stores are a great place to check out manga because it's such a wild card experience. I've been able to find out of stock and/or out of print volumes where online and bookstores no longer carry them. Great haul.

Since i started collecting last Jan and heard people talk about Golden kamuy, I just didnt think it would be for me but then my friend started collecting it, so I've read vols 1-5 and I really like it lol.

Such a nice package from YenPress! Last year I read their light novel Three Days of Happiness and really enjoyed it and I'm interested to pick up Even If I Can't Reach You as well and dabble more into light novels. My Sweat and Soap box set 1 came in a few days ago, so I'm looking forward to start the searies in February.

love that slma dunk is getting reprinted ;o; was able to pick up a bunch of em on right stuf and even the two volumes of gintama i was missing! really hoping eyeshield 21 gets reprinted too its been discouraging to collect when its so expensive for a large chunk of volumes

Rainbow days was so problematic for me 😢 I really wanted to like it but there was quite a few things I had issues with. I’m also trying to finish getting NANA too! Apothecary diaries is amazing!! I love the main lead Mao Mao so much ❤

they reached out to me by email! not sure how they determine that kind of stuff though, i know now they are accepting applications for a sort of partner program with them, i think you need 5k followers on a platform like tiktok ig or yt
