The main problem with finding the right time is that most stores don’t go on a schedule and use random days to restock… hunting is tough

I feel like post-Covid it’s been impossible to find a Super Treasure because Walmart doesn’t do 24/7 anymore. I used to be able to find one every few months at midnight when Walmart would restock Hot Wheels cars before dayshift employees and scalpers would hoard it for themselves.

Man as a kid it's hard to go peg hunting cuz my parents won't drive. Sometimes when I do get to go the pegs are either full of cars I already have, fantasy cars, or just empty. I went to Target the other day and the hot wheels pegs were literally empty. That was like my third trip there this month and I can't believe they haven't thought to restock it for those past weeks. I don't mind as much though because I'm only a modest Collector.

Man that's a lot of Hot Wheels. I used to collect Hot Wheels. But, sold my collection. I'm more into collecting Jwings and Phoenix airline planes. They're are rare. Only few of each model are made. Each 1 come with a serial number. In the near future it's going to be worth money. Good luck on your collection.

Sounds like my walmart They still have the 2016 cars up there and only about 3 real castings, the other 10 being fantasies. Yep, that's about how many they have. I'll tell my friends about both of your channels.

You won't believe it but I went on Facebook marketplace and found some really good deals on cars I missed out on. Got like 16 cars for 40$AUD shipped, I've noticed FB marketplace has a lot of guys getting rid of their entire collections, so you can easily ask them if their willing to sell individual cars or even select a whole bunch at random

You should also check some local small shophouses bro, i have one near me which sells hotwheels surprisingly. Although they only stock 1 case per month or so or until they sold out almost all of them before they restock them again.

peg is the rack or thing that the hot wheels cards are hung on in stores. So “peg hunting” means shifting through and looking through those hung up cards. He has said in the past that he uses glu-tac so I think that’s it.

I'm not interested in cars at all but I would like to invest in something other than the stock market right now so I have a question for you. What type of Hot wheels should I buy in the store today that might be worth more in -5, 10 or 20 years? Surely there must be a creteria other than nostalgia. I'm thinking cars from movies or limited release cars or something. can you give me a direction of what to look for?

I used to work for autozone and they had some relatively rare hotwheels. Even one of the black and gold anniversary edition hotwheels that didnt get a number stamp (ex: 1/6 4/6 etc...) and i even got a set of the 50th anniversary diecast ones with the classic packaging and pins! They also have some exclusives by M2 machines that come with a little car hydraulic lift mount that are pretty hard to find from what i can tell.

When I'm in the toy section at any store and I see you at employee with one of those scanner units that tells them when they need to restock stuff I usually try to ask that person especially if it's a chick, I flirt n get them to scan the barcode on the pegs n tell me when their next shipment is coming in.

i purchased a collection of hw's around 400 cars about 10 yrs ago most of the cards are dated between 1998 and 2001 a few 1991 and even fewer from the 80's all still unopened I see different numbering systems on many of them and i cant make sense of any of it.

I have nothing against the fantasy cars but I only collect real cars. It seems most of the time I look at a rack and it is full of fantasy stuff. I collect both matchbox and hot wheels. At least by where I live in New Jersey there are more Hot Wheels then Matchbox cars. It is amazing what people want on eBay for recent models.

It's better you keep a good relationship with the shopkeeper give him your number and let him know that you are buying from him regularly and tell him what are your requirements just give him the list of cars that's it... Your job is done. If he is a good guy he will bring the cars for you
