That is exactly what I do. I always have my cars open and loose so I can give all my adoration and love for the cars I have. I do keep the car cards to remember what it is and see the nice card art they can have. I REFUSE to have the cars locked in the packaging because that would defeat the purpose of me buying it really.

For cheaper brands (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Welly etc.) i buy two so i have one loose and one in the package. For more expensive brands, it depends. I am mostly a loose collector but sometimes I keep them boxed if I like how they look. Also I like mounting some on my walls behind my open collection to add a little aesthetic to the display to feel more complete. I also keep some boxed if it’s something I could trade or sell to pay for more of my hobby. Something that is valuable to someone else could pay for more for me to enjoy. So look at it this way sometimes I collect value to be able to afford more that I value to collect.

My son and I display the premium cars but everything else gets opened for one reason only....the reason they were made, to race them and go fast! We sell the ones that are to slow and motivates us to keep buying newer castings to see which is faster from our top 5. It allows us to keep hunting and not worry about space for displaying them.
@ananfaiz99006 жыл бұрын
I was actually a lose collecter but then I chose the the carded side. The reason why I chose the carded side is because of how much safe they can be inside. I live in a country which is extremely humid, which tends to rust the axles of the cars which will eventually lead to many problems so that's why I keep them inside the card. Btw awesome video as always!

I've been collecting carded so far, but today I bought a duplicate HW car (1986 Toyota Van) purely to open it and examine the car and the feeling of holding the car, looking it over in 360 is so much more satisfying. As nice as carded cars look, on Instagram I've seen some impressive garage-like displays of people's loose cars and it just looks great. I do think they're meant to be freed from their boxes.

I fixed my urge for loose collecting. I do Both. I keep loose ones in clear cases of the ones I really like. So yeah, I have two of allot of cars but that's what makes me Happy. It is all about what makes you Happy. Obviously I can not buy two of everything, I too love to hold them and get the real deal of collecting. And if I know I have a valuable one it stays in the blister pack, and yes I got boxes of cars everywhere. I keep the ones in protector packs in clear bins. I call the ones I am going to open Crackers. My favorite cracker is 1957 CHEVY. I stock up on crackers when I go to shows and can find them 2 for a buck! I mostly buy Muscle cars. But I am putting together sets and series as well. My very most favorite is getting color and wheel variations on cars both loose and carded.

I always opened my cars when I was younger. Sometimes I open a modern model hotwheel. I have certain cars that were opened back in the day that are worth more than most of my carded cars and I also have unopened stuff that I love...although this one guy just got $1,023.50 for his "2003 Limited Edition World Race Complete Set" and it's still sealed all around. I plan to open the box up carefully of course, but keep the cars in the packs. 😎(video soon) Full honesty, opening the cars and enjoying at a young age creates a lifestyle and I have that and millions of work hours to thank. I didn't get it for its value or because I "earned" it. I got it because I watched that movie ALOT since I was 8 and I DESERVE it. I know everything about the series and even the damn script. I was overwhelmed with AWESOME and those movies STILL do their justice. MASTERPIECES. Not bragging, I've owned 6 vehicles already in the first 2 years after highschool. An 81 Trans Am, 79 Camaro, 79 Firebird as my favorites and other stuff like 95 BMW, Grand Cherokee, 99 3000GT(for sale). I'm getting me a very sweet car for this summer whether it's a mid 70s Stingray, Pontiac Le Mans (71-72), or a certain '69 Plymouth Road Runner that I can finance as of now which I most obsessively will and to thank HotWHeeLs again for my sturdy, bad boy lifestyle.
