The whole "oh like your perfect" part is so aggravating Most ppl haven't sent underwear to a minor, most ppl haven't spread a minor's legs in front of an audience, most ppl haven't organized a hate campaign against a minor behind the scenes when he called your out the first time (and was still hiding the worse of what you did) She didn't fail to jump over a high bar she tripped on a crack

If she is pg13 then why was she pulling 9-10 year old boys on stage to pretend they were on a date and ask them to reach into her pants to get cheese poofs to eat… 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh is that the parents fault? Did she disclose what was going to happen to each underage child on stage before there parents and them have consent for them to be on stage? This whole situation and apology makes me feel like I slipped into another universe

The mean girl reference had me howling! Im so happy you clarified the fart joke lie and included the real video of what it was about. Coleen 100% has a pattern and extremely poor judgement and as other people pointed out, she's just overall a very bad person who literally orchestrated witch hunts to silence victims. Idk why she is pretending like this was years ago, when according to Adam, she is doing shit in the background RIGHT NOW. Also, everyone makes mistake, but most people don't make the mistake of traumatizing minors and being innapropriate with them. Like...most people got a CLEAN record on that front well into their 30s 😭😭😭😭😭. Like sending a 14 years old nudes of your arch nemesis is not a mistake, holy shit. I watched her video a few minutes after it dropped, I was keeping up with this situation every second and the way I was FLOORED by her video, I needed EVERYONE to witness the insanity I just witnessed and thank god everyone has been flooding with reaction content today. So glad we all experienced this video and reacted to it, because that was SO absurd. Thankfully, most people aren't buying her crap anymore. Idk how they bought it 3 years ago, despite the underwear thing, but thank god that people are rallying behind Adam's now, especially with Coleen shooting herself in the foot with this, instant of keeping silent. I second the huffingpost article, its a good one. Anyways, great video, great points and great vocals!

Firstly, saying that you’re going against your best interest is a very popular PR move. The whole stunt is so carefully crafted, I’m thinking legal team was on board. The song just lists off mental health issues, the video itself can be proof of a mental breakdown; the striking down is just brilliant. They’re both preparing for a process and burying the backlash. She also very conveniently shared her diagnosis on June 1st, as the discussions were brewing , from what I see. A good lawyer will build up on that. Her overall success has to be attributed to very knowledgeable people, because not everyone can get away with content like that. Yes, she’d used free fan labor, but something great was behind the scenes. Secondly, she’s definitely getting off emotionally from abusing those who can’t stand up for themselves (in her eyes, at least). I don’t think it’s the case of her not realizing that she’s doing terrible acts (especially since she confirms that in her vlogs), she doesn’t come off as delusional at all. I find it that we often treat abusers as “disturbed”, when the majority of them do not have clouded judgment. They do know better, but they also have noticed that the justice system and the world don’t really care. These people are also way less sneaky about their crimes when they come from privilege. P.S. I’d really like to know if the video could be used as evidence itself OR as a part of witnesses’ testimony on Colleen’s state of mind since, luckily for them, it went very viral.

You got nice pipes yo! Shockingly, i can kinda agree w the narcissist thing this time. This is similar to some behaviors i exhibit when my NPD kicks up(coping mechanisms fail, stress, a trauma happens or is remembered), after a fuckup. I dont usually apply the term, its basically become shorthand for your average manipulation or every single emotional abuser, but this? Is actually pretty spot on narcissistic deflection of blame and "taking accountability". Being aware of my own abusive behaviors is the only way ive been able to change them and recover from MANY YEARS of being A Shitty Person(tm), so recognizing them in others has become an annoying feature. She probably DOESNT believe shes done anything wrong. If she ever gets to a point where she does, it could be years of bad behavior later, and im pretty sure shes older than me in a position of power where she doesnt have to think about how her behavior affects the people around her to keep them there. THATS what got me to start getting my shit together. First, i had to actually value the people i was hurting. Then they had to leave, and i had to reconcile that it was my fault, and even then it took me YEARS(NPD and BPD shaking hands over how recovery can be helped a lot somehow by somebody just DIPPING holy shit). So yeah an NPD perspective on how narcissist might actually be applicable here LMAO
@talistheintrovert
@talistheintrovert Жыл бұрын
thank you!! and yeah, being raised in a household with a narcissistic sociopath AND somebody with BPD makes me pretty good at identifying actually narcissistic behaviour rather than just like, whatever the internet tends to label everything as narcissistic these days. Like, not every narcissistic action *makes someone a narcissist* but the internet doesn't care about that. You can be selfish or self-centered or make a mistake without being a bad person, it's only when you can't SEE the effect your own actions have on other people when it becomes a problem. I'm glad to hear that you feel like a better person within yourself now! that's such a big part of moving forward even if you've done things you regret and I hope you're doing okay! ❤️

14:40 There’s a huge difference between making sure tweens know that groups of people exist, and detailing what those people do in the bedroom. Especially if you’re talking about sensations, and feelings surrounding those acts. By all means tell kids the mechanics, studies have found that a good sex ed program cuts teen pregnancy way down, but as soon as you start talking about it in a personal manner, that’s it you’re done. Like, frog dissections. It’s important to know how a body works, and see how the parts are connected, but I don’t need commentary about how another person’s dissection goes. If my bio teacher had started to reminisce about how the scalpel felt in her hand and the delicacy of how she cut it open? I honestly started to feel a little creeped out just typing that. No child should know the details of the sex life of anyone significantly older than them. Which, from what I’ve seen, both Adam and Johnny were subjected to.

Colleen seems to think that everyone is upset about a "fart" sound during her bit, but does she really have this much trouble connecting the dots, or is this just an example of willful ignorance? No, Colleen, it's not about the "fart", it's about you exposing a teenage girl's nether regions for comedic purposes! Also, Colleen, asking a minor for explicit photos of himself (Adam), isn't an "oops moment", it's methodical.

I don't think Colleen should be cancelled over those group chats. It is definitely creepy to over-share as a 30 year old with teenagers in a group chat, but if people felt uncomfortable they should have left. It would be a completely different thing if she were saying those things on a 1-on-1 basis. The thing Colleen should be cancelled for is her treatment of individuals in her live shows. Sexualizing minors for an audience is reprehensible. I can guarantee you that there are pedophiles out there who watched her show for that kind of content. Not only should she be held accountable, but so should the venues and the people who hosted those live streams.

I think it's the Everything, y'know? everything altogether paints a whole distasteful picture. having the audacity to tell teenagers details of your sex life in a private groupchat is not separate from getting them to do uncomfortable things on a stage, it's all part of the same thing in her brain that she doesn't seem to see a problem with

This is a great video that hits on all the important points! I would like to point out that "narcissist" is an ableist term that people with NPD prefer people not use as an insult/synonym for "abuser" since it contributes to the stigma around that disorder. You seem like a lovely person who's always looking for ways to improve as an ally so I thought you might want to know. Loved your analysis! ❤
@talistheintrovert
@talistheintrovert Жыл бұрын
so I would never falsely diagnose somebody with NPD but "narcissist" can also be used for people who are narcissistic generally, and that is what I was referring to. Limiting the scope of the word when it isn't always used in reference to the label I feel is worse for people with NPD than otherwise. My sister has NPD I would never call her a "narcissist", I'd call her somebody with NPD. Those things are linguistically entirely separate, but I do understand why people with NPD might find it triggering.
