How likely do you think adults fans would of tried to befriend her? I went through something similar in that i was & still am looking for adults to befriend via/on the internet. Also i was dealing with effects of trauma. What happens(ed) is adults act like children on social media & the young act like adults in that many more of them attempt to take an interaction online seriously than there are adults who do. @lnt305 As someone that grew up watching her I suppose I am probably biased, but as I did see the content in question real time, I can say that the apology that she made in response was not only during the height of the toxicity of 'cancel culture' but it was an incredibly mature and not unexpected, genuine apology to accusations that were taken out of context and blown way out of proportion. I cant really explain it properly but if you're interested I highly recommend the KZbin video Why the end of Jenna Marbles is the end of Authenticity by Donna as it explains what I'm trying to far better than I can. Long story short she came from a time in KZbin when it was treated almost like a video diary or journal, she was an OG and after nearly 15 years on the platform she was bound to have a video or 2 that would be deemed problematic by today's standards, and it was taken out of context for the time most of it was made.

I’m in my 30s as well and I really enjoy mentoring teenagers in appropriate settings, and when I was young I was an only child living in a fairly isolated area so I had friendships online and in person with some older ppl simply because i didn’t have much access to ppl my age; and these relationships were both healthy and meaningful.
