Colleen Johnston-Devin | What do health professionals and people with CRPS need to know about CRPS?

Colleen Johnston-Devin, RN, GCTAE, PhD is an academic within CQUniversity Australia. She has worked in hospitals and/or community settings all over Australia including cities, regional and rural areas. After a thumb injury while playing softball in 2010, Colleen was diagnosed with CRPS.
Since then she completed a PhD and is developing a research profile in the persistent pain and lived experience and patient management of persistent pain fields. She has a special interest in self-management of CRPS and education of health professionals. Her publications, book chapter and international conference presentations focus on chronic pain, gerontology and models of care in the Emergency Department. She is a member of national and international pain societies and a recent member of the CRPS International Research Consortium.

I have crps type 2. I haven't seen a psychologist and now feel I really need to.

Colleen was the most helpful of many crps videos in the sense that it related to my condition. I enjoyed this and will listen again. (Yes, sorry, but the accent was slightly difficult to grasp).

It's been 6 years since the surgery.

It's started in my left wrist and hand but has now spread to all 4 limbs and my skin on my entire body. 😔
