Thank you Colleen.! I've been primarily an all surfaces runner for the last 40+ years but have been interested in the steeple for a while. I've just started back running from a 7month knee injury and want to slowly build my strength for steeple. Your tips couldn't be more timely. Thank you and all the best with your training for the next Olympics. 🏃‍♀🙏❤

Thank you very much. That will help me for my 2000 m steeplechase race in the WMACS (master) 2024 in Gothenburg (Sweden).

In my view the steeple is the best race cause it involves a lot of technique and tactics, not just about raw speed.

How do you become an Olympic swimmer/get on that Olympic swimmer track? Where do you start? What do you look for in a swimming facility?

Practice practice practice. And honestly you have to look for a good team first find one that is reputable in your area and never miss your practices. Focus on technique and you will get faster. I was a swimmer for 9 years and practice was the only thing that propels you to your goal.

You need to find a pool that is 50m long, that's the Olympic size. Most big cities have one. Then you gotta find a coach and a team and PRACTICE as per the comment above! :)

You need a coach that knows what they're doing & can meet you where you are to develop you. No you don't need a 50m pool (long course). A short course (25 yard) pool is fine

my advice is to simply go around the water pit keeping yourself dry in the process. only downside is disqualification tho so...

Didn't show the technique of hurdling the water barrier instead of jumping it, but I only think some male Kenyans can do it without face planting.

I am pretty sure nobody has ever hurdled the water pit.
