The Right and Wrong Sides of Fabric. When we lay our sewing pattern pieces onto our fabric, it’s imperative to have already identified the right and wrong sides of our fabric, made the conscious decision on which side to work, and remain constant throughout. The last thing we want is half a garment made with the right side on display, and half with the wrong side.

Another serious I'd love 2 c u do is adding collars to garments!!! It's one of my challenges getting them in right so they look good!!! And all the different styles Flat Collar, Peter Pan, Blouse Collar, Shawl Collar, Shirt Collar and the Stand Collar!!! Thanks again 4 all ur helpful learning tutorials!!!

Colleen I purchased a book titled "The Sewing Book" by Alison Smith but I have to say I'm not the best with follow along directions!!! More hands on!!! In it she covers several different type Necklines... I was wondering if u could do a serious on HTM the different styles??? Round, Scoop, Square, Sweetheart, U-Neck and V-Neck??? Each in a separate tutorial??? I'd be so grateful!!!

Thank you so much for this video. You get the fabric home that you thought you had figured out in the store, and suddenly, you can't tell right side from wrong side, not even after you try every trick you thought you had. Another thing that was very helpful about your video was the fact that once you figure out the right and the wrong side, sometimes you deliberately choose to use the "wrong" side because you like the pattern on it better or for some other reason. So you've brought up the fact that just figuring out the right and wrong side does not automatically mean that you will use the right side. Thanks again. I hope to be subscribing to your series.

Thank you, I have 17 $/yard worsted wool and can't tell. Salvage print is backwards on one side and right on other however to me the other side looks more similar to the picture from whence I bought it. Oh well.

That type of fabric is ideal for a skirt or jacket.
