It is actually healthy for Flynn to have a cold once in a while so his immune system can build up, so don't worry too much about "how could it happen, how did he catch it?". Look at it as a training opportunity for his body, toddlers normally need quite a lot of contact to germs, this pandemic situation might cause them problems in the long run.

hi! i also have the same condition and for me, it's helpful to have someone gently ask if i'm okay. like "hey, i can see that you're picking, are you feeling okay?" is much better than "stop doing that!" or "why are you doing that?" also, if you can give them something else to do with their hands like picking at a blanket or ripping a piece of paper, that is also really helpful. the best advice is just to approach them without trying to embarrass them or judge them!

Hey! :) Sorry in advance for my English, my first langage is French. I also have this condition and personnaly, I don't like it when people talk to me about it. I do realise that I pick at my skin and I already feel ashamed about it, I don't need to know that people see it too and worry about me, even if their intention is to confort me. I prefer when I'm the one who talks about it first. I would suggest letting your bestfriend talk about it with you first, because it might make him uncomfortable and make him more ashamed if he does not like to talk about it. If he decides to talk about it and lets you know that he's anxious, I would suggest inviting him to do an activity together. Personnaly, I need to be active in order to stop picking at my skin. When I'm just watching TV or doing nothing, it is way worse. Go on a walk with him, go shopping or do something where he has to move. He probably won't be thinking about what makes him anxious and won't have time to pick at his skin. :)

Yeah her mom has brown eyes and her dad has blue eyes. Therefore she’s heterozygous and so it Erik so both her and Erik have brown eyes as that is the dominant allele, but they passed on their blue alleles to Flynn, so he is homozygous and therefore if he had children he could on pass on blue alleles. Hope that makes sense.

@@amelialaird2281 I won't claim to know all the scientific facts or research. All I know is, brown eyes are usually dominant. And the only way a brown eyed couple can conceive a blue eyed kiddo is if either of the grandparents or someone who shares a big link in their dna are blue eyed.

In order for Flynn to have blue eyes, both sides of the family must have the recessive blue eye gene because brown is dominant. This means Flynn had a 25% chance of having blue eyes. Aka they would both be Bb. (B= brown b= blue) If one of them was BB (brown dominant), its very unlikely for Flynn to have blue eyes

18:30 I really loved this part! Colleen's interpretation on her behaviour and thoughts is so amazing. I loved how you said you wanted Flynn to be fine again so he can be involved in decorating too. My parents would have blamed/guilttripped my sickness on their delay of decoration :(
