For c sections I definitely recommend having tight tank tops and high waisted leggings. Having slight pressure on the incision helps SO MUCH! Also, on the ride home have a boppy pillow on your lap to help keep pressure on the incision during the drive the SLIGHTEST bumps will hurt and the pillow helps a TON!!

I’ve had two csections, and the best thing to get is a belly bandit! They should wrap you in a binder right after the surgery as it protects your incision and gives you support. If they don’t supply one, definitely get one! it makes it so much easier to get up out of bed (because your core is shot!) and it helps keep your extra skin in tact so it doesn’t rub on your wound.

Of course it’s not easy for her. she just can’t freaking manage her pregnancy so I think it takes an emotional toll on her- parenting wise- because obviously being pregnant alone for her is difficult but let alone twins is probably even more difficult, she’s doing the best she can. she talked about it earlier in the vlogs of her twins, that she feels bad for not being so present with Flynn but it’s just because she can’t manage her body well so just please be understanding-she wasn’t good- and still isn’t- WiTH TwInZS!- but she’s trying to be as strong as she can and still be present for flynn. yes i haven’t had kids yet but it’s freaking common sense. we hear from her everyday.

Also, having had a covid baby, highly recommend packing a LOT of snacks. The cafeteria hours were shortened and inconvenient. Luckily my husband could order Uber eats and pick it up from the lobby, but the snacks are clutch.

THIS. My hospital cafeteria only offered 1 option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and nothing else. It was helpful to have snacks just in case I didn't like the meal.

@@megank210 The health system I worked for as a paramedic built a new, state of the art hospital. One of the non-clinical things that was 🤯 was the cafeteria: it was pretty much a food court! They even had sushi made to order, vegan/halal/kosher options. And as long as your doctor didn't prescribe a specific diet you ordered whatever you wanted.

@@SnowLilies I never used diapers, pads were very sufficient. From talk with other moms, it seemed I bled a lot less after csection than some do with natural birth. I was also surprised with my first by how little the bleeding lasted. I had stocked for a month and was down to spotting after about 7-10 days. But everyone’s different!

If you end up with a csetion and they don't offer a Belly Binder, ASK FOR ONE. It holds your guts together and it's just wonderful for the initial weeks after delivery. I wore a lot of high waisted leggings and oversized sweaters after. Easy to lift the sweater and pop the nursing tank!

c-section advice: i'd suggest high waisted joggers, like the maternity ones, so that you don't have the waistline on the lower stomach area as it rubs and is uncomfortable! Massive massive pants help too, up to the belly button style.

For my csection as far as clothes go, shirts didn’t matter as much, but the BELLY BINDER was life! I never went anywhere without it! I actually panicked a few times when I would have to take it off to shower. That thing helped you from feeling like your guts might spill out of your body.

2 time C-section momma here, Colleen I wish I had gotten a support belt for post csection. It helps support your belly after they cut you open and I recommend wearing it religiously. I unfortunately thought “NAH, I don’t need to spend that money” girl I wish I had spent that money, it helps get everything back into place without putting excess strain on your wound. I feel like we were just all freaking out at the ultrasound pictures and realizing it was twins. Then all of a sudden you find out the sex’s. NOW you’re like potentially knocking on labors back door! I’m SO EXCITED for you! Flynn will be the best big brother and you’re going to do great in delivery. ❤️

I had a C-section and liked having tight items to hold everything in. I couldn't drive for a month and was very sore. My son was early and lived in the NICU for awhile. The nurses are amazing. My cousin had twins and no NICU stay. She was able to keep them in for a long time.

Even living in Canada where we tend to get quite a bit of rain, I still don’t want to do anything other than read or watch a movie when it’s rainy. I completely understand, and I think it’s really awesome that you can all get excited over it (especially Flynn, it just seems so cute to picture). Love you Colleen!

This c-section mama really liked and appreciated having shirts that compressed my tummy afterwards. I even had a compression type garment that the hospital gave me that I wore for a few days afterwards. The nursing tanks that you have should be good if you find yourself in a similar situation and think you’d enjoy that feel as well. I too lived in those tanks after my pregnancies!

@@mirkku6031 Welp.. it's November now. Literally any time this month since I doubt they'll make it to December. (Or probably even Thanksgiving.) They twins for gods sake lol. If.. already out a couple days ago, then they literally Halloween babies that got in the way of Trick or Treating. I still doubt tho... in a way, but it's def very soon at this point. She posted a regular vlog literally just now so nope. The wait game is still on!

I truly think that Flynn was put on this earth from his incredible parents, to change the world. I just have a feeling he is gonna make a huge impact, I mean he already has. For c section question - my go to was either the hospital gown or a night gown. I also took very baggy shorts. I HATED and don’t think I could’ve handled tight clothing.... I could barely bend over to wash my knees in the shower. I did use the mesh undies too with the pad in it. Also I did use my peri bottle by turning my body to wipe was excruciating. The peri bottle made it sooooo much better.

For c-sections you don’t want a hem line or any kind of band to be low where it hits the incision. When moving around the house the hospital should give you this Velcro type band to hold yourself together otherwise you feel like your insides will fall out of your incision while trying to move around your house.

i rly love that she doesnt film the more negative moments of flynn-i get that it might be helpful to other parents to know that other parents struggle with raising their kids too, but since flynn is so young and his life is so public it seems like a smart move to only air innocuous footage of him, not something that he might not want on the internet forever when he gets a bit older

I live in a community 25 km from Vancouver BC and it is a rainforest. It rains ALOT. However we rarely get snow or very low temperatures. This year we have had torrential rain s with flash floods and landslides, and today we had 8 " of snow with freezing rain right after . I did not drive into work today as I value my life. So you go be excited about getting rain it's something your state needs desperately.
